I remember that. Mine just started leaking at the back between the cylinder and the booster. Started bubbling the paint but no corrosion yet. Peeled the bubbled paint, Purple Powered the area, wire brushed. Painted the nice shiny metal. Time for a beer.

Keep an eye on the area, you might have to retouch it later. Brake fluid has the ability to impregnate the metal and come up again later.

Me, I pulled the heat blanket off the hood interior and did some other prelim work to doing my metal patches this weekend, painted and reinstalled the wiper arms, and re-attached some weatherstripping. Also got the rear windows unsealed and reset the latches so they're tight.

wire wheeled a lot of the inside of the hood, some of it is rotted so i cut/grind-ed those parts off (skeleton) and primed. have some rather un-wanted rust issues since the car sat for 6 years before it was mine

Fixed header exhaust leak. then did a 0-140km/h pull, 16 seconds 0-100 with rolling into the throttle in first

Changed my oil. Stopped by NAPA and found NAPA gold filters on sale $3.66 - you guys know Red loves a good deal lol so I bought three. Got some sandpaper so I can start destroying the dead hood paint this week. Sure is nice working under a car without a single drip of anything in sight.

Pulled a shitload of wiring out, cleaned some stuff, new oil and filter, checked plugs, went through most of the engine and dash harness to check for anything non stock from previous owners. Now for the rear, maybe fix the audio control while im at it

Daily driving it back and forth to work, waiting for this heat wave to cool down (late September) before I move on any fixes and upgrades.

I finally started on redoing my seats. Started with a headrest today. I'm doing all black interior, the face of the seats are a black suede and the sides and back and sides are high grade black vinyl. Obviously it's not done, just stretched it over the foam to see how it would look. I plan on redoing all the seats and possibly the door panels with the same materials. This is my first attempt at doing any kind of upholstery and I'm pretty pleased how it turned out.
