thanks! I'm hoping to at least have the motor assembled completely by the end of the month. Doing a few restoration things here and there while I have it out of commission.

getting close to the end of the dismantling of the old motor

and rebuilding the heads with my new cams and stiffer OEM lifters

they're 'euro' cams, .392"/264* lift and duration. We'll see how they help things out.

I always like to see people willing to yank an engine and rebuild it in their own garage... you're the real deal

I think yours gets included in my "coolest SE list" which includes mc, Gustavo, and one or two others.

THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

I thank you sir. With my dad being a nissan master technician of 25+ years, I have one of the best resources available to me, so I saw no reason to pay someone to do it when I could learn to do it myself.

Plus it's fun as hell, and satisfying to know you had a hand in (literally) almost every part of the motor, so you know it's done right.

I'm proud to be a do-it-yourselfer haha. Thanks for adding me to the list, made my day =]

You've been on my list ever since you had the gumption to stick a VG33ER in there and I thought your hood was obnoxious in the best of ways lol. Yours is a one-of-a-kind for the right reasons.

Not sure what you have planned for the hood this time around but I'm sure it'll be good!

haha, I've grown fond of it over the months of trying to look over it while parking. Half the fun of the VG33ER swap was getting the sarcastic 'good luck' every time I told someone about it.

I've definitely got some big plans for it...for the entire front end for that matter. I'm definitely not stopping at my hood or engine when it comes to being one-of-a-kind ;)

gonna use leather conditioner on the wheel to give it it's shine back and have the horn pad dyed to match.

stuck the wheel in today, looks tight. On the fence about leaving it looking 'two tone' or getting the pad dyed to match.

love me some s-chassis

I was upset that I got the "120 days dead" topic warning, so I wanted to offer a short verbal update.

Lots of shit has been going down. Job change, school issues, issues at home, and of course...transportation issues. Ended up selling my s13 cuz it was junk and got the s14 you've probably seen and I have a solid job for now, so there's a few things sorted.

Pops and I have been busy with home renovations, so there hasn't been too much engine progress. I'm going to try to make time for it soon.

In other news, I fully intend on purchasing one of those Grand Prix reproduction kits, hopefully my tax return will help me get there.

I've also kept the rear subframe out of my old coupe, already equipped with Stance coils and a sway bar, I'm also cutting the rear out of it and keeping the mountin points for reference. I will make this happen.

So that's kinda what I have in mind for the nearish future.
