Opens don't have cooling fins and most LSD's do.

Dude! That is totally a viscous lsd setup from a z31. That's awesome. Don't think I've ever seen a non-lsd with fins or a lsd without them... could be euro though.

Grab a hold of both axle flanges and try to rotate them in opposite directions...

si vous pouvez, c'est un imposteur LSD.

So, not an LSD as expected then but no big surprisel.

Anyway still pushing ahead wth this. Currently wire brushing off the old underseal, which you know is really awesome :( plenty of rust but no rot so far. Some of it looked like it could have got nasty given another year or two so thank fook for that.
Also got another SE spoiler and orange mk2 sides from Max in California. The spoiler is black so I'm gonna respray the front lip black to match.

I usually just take one side and spin it.  if the other side spins the same way, LSD.  if it spins opposite, Open.

Looks like you're doing your car right!  keep up the good work!

Colonol Gustard - youre one of the few people that represent the s12 chassis like a boss!

After 7 months I have a rolling motor once again;

- coming off the 'stands

-mix and match S12, 13 and 14. Z32 Calipers to go when I got the fixings from Nissan next week.

- one of the Z31 suspension arms prior to instillation. Note vented discs.

Nice project!

Looking forward to the updates. Have you already driven the car on the BC coils? If so do you like them. I am planning to buy them next year.
