Ca18det Maf? or not?

i have a maf i ordered off of ebay that said it was a ca18det maf my ca18det swap came with a ka24e maf and its a 3 prong plug this maf i got in the mail supposedly is a ca18det maf and it has 4 plugs im getting really frustrated. should a ca18det maf be 3 prong plug? or did the previous owner of my ca18det splice a 3 prong plug in to run the ka24e maf? previous info the owner had a safc on the ka24e maf but disconnected it and fixed it so the ka24e maf is just running on the ecu so its causing a problem which is why i need a ca18det maf. PLEASE HELP!!

the one on the right is the maf that came on my ca18det the part number says its a ka24e part number is 22680 40F00 and the one on the left is supposedly a ca18det maf part number for that one is 22680 58A00

kuz i had a bid on it for a while and then it said i lost the bid i got fucking pissed so i called up there and asked and they said somebody bid more than me, pretty much it said great for an sr20 blah blah but i think you did man they dnt know jack about parts

well ive heard bro that the ca18det maf is 4 prong
Black - Ground
black and white - 12 volts
Green and black - signal signal -5v
Green and yellow no connection

thats on the ca harness that i got from the FSM now i heard thet the KA24E AFM worked on the ca18det so i went ahead and wired it in ill let you know if it works man but i hope this helps a lil bit
oh and the part number that i found for the ca18det MAF is 22680 58A10 so idk what the deal is were both in the same boat as of now man but ill fire up the car tomorrow and let you know man

sounds good dude but one thing you need to know before you keep the ka-E maf on your ca18 permanent is the flow chart for the maf on the vq table.

KA harness

Black = ground
Black/white = 12volts
white = signal 0-5volts

Ca harness

Black = ground
Black/white =12volts
green/black = signal signal 0-5v
green/yellow no connection

so the Ka Black goes to CA black = ground
KA Black/white goes to CA black/white =(12volts
ka white goes to CA green/black = signal 0-5volts

well considering there is a 20% difference in volumetric effiiciency in mafs i think we should get an oem ca18det maf and then find some sort of 3 plug to 4 plug adapter and plug in the oem maf or rewire it to oem ca18det jdm specs by the diagram. did you try the maf to see if it works just for kicks?

oh hell fucking yes i know lol its been 3 years for me and my car still isnt driveable just yet. spent 2500 on this shit and i just want the problems to be non existant and for my car to just go without problems. i would of sold it a long time ago but im too far in money wise so it would be a complete loss if i did

Bit of a late post, here, but I've been told a couple times that a Z32 MAF (22680 30P00) is compatible with the CADET. Anyone know if that's true?
