M30 oil pan in s12
« on: 11:13:53 AM / 29-Feb-12 »
Just noticed that the M30's oil pan is front sump.  Does it fit the same as the s12 pan?  Just want to make sure it clears the crossmember.

the VG s12 is also front sump.  My buddy has both cars at his shop, I could see if I could get him to compare if you'd like.

So the M30 motor is getting pulled for a swap in to a pathfinder.  Unsure of when this is happening, but that's when the comparison will be able to take place.

Just out of curiosity.... why?  Is the M30 pan bigger?

Looking to piece together parts for a swap and there's one at the junkyard.  I'm gonna go grab it.

Interesting! This would be new to me if the M30 oil pan crossed over. This would help the guys interested in a VG Swap. Maybe a M30 oil pan, custom motor mounts, and drive line and your ready to rock and roll.
