with some hood modifications and some engine management, you could take the supercharger off the xterra/frontier's supercharged vg33 and mostly bolt it on.

Already toying with the concept on my wife's 92 Pathfinder using a Vortech or Procharger centrifugal blower.  After I stop the arterial spray of power stearing fluid and get the console installed I will grab one off the shelf and start conceptualizing some fitment options.

I'm hoping somewhere down the road to find a donor Xterra to pull the engine and wiring harness/ecu to do a vg33er swap in to my pathfinder.  Probably be the ONLY reason I do a body lift on my truck, to fit the blower and retain a stock'ish look.

Twin screw is the way to go for sure if you can justify the fitment.  Gobs more on the low end which is far more practical on the street and 4x4.  The centrifugal units have two bright spots for me though.  Fitment being the first and availability being the second.  All of our designs try to lend themselves to cross platform compatibility so my hope is that work done on our pathy will translate well to the S12.

I just dont like centrifugals at all. Only if you absolutely have no choice. Im all about twin screw

imagine a ka and a vg as women. I prefer the one that had less hands on it. The ka is a loose prostitute that every one and their brother knows lol.

Only semi-related, but I have started fitting a blower onto the wife's Pathfinder.  Different intake manifold, but still a VG30e.  Initial pics are still on my cell phone.  Nothing bolted up yet, but I don't see any deal breakers yet.

Early pics are simply parts removed to make room for the blower.  General fitment and proof of concept.  Nothing bolted in . . . yet.  Still need to finish the center console before I start the blower project.  That and the summer aviation testing season is upon us as well which will inevitably slow down progress.  Mama want's her supercharger though!  As with all of our designs it will be as compact as possible in hopes of being as cross-platform compatible as possible.

We have several of our aviation spec blowers on the shelf that I will use for fitment and initial build.  They are manufactured for us by Vortech based on their V1 line.  We also have the empty shell of a V9 which we are using for mock up on another potential system and a couple of other make/model centrifugal units that we have used for various fitment tests.

In the end it will likely be a Vortech unit.  I haven't got far enough into this to look at compressor maps and match the appropriate model to this application.  Vortech does a good job of creating universal mounting locations so I will be able to continue with getting what we have in stock mounted, then bolt on a different/better suited trim blower.
