[Today at 09:10:22 PM] Jay: sorry, its. No apostrophe

[Today at 09:11:57 PM] Wonderingraven: lol

[Today at 09:14:26 PM] SchizophrenicMC: I bet this Pathfinder will be like "Nope not gonna try and kill Jay"

[Today at 09:27:31 PM] Jay: We'll see

[Today at 09:28:17 PM] Jay: My M20 doesn't need anything. Still ticking along like sewing machine

[Today at 09:28:56 PM] Wonderingraven: lol

[Today at 09:44:36 PM] SchizophrenicMC: My KA is much the same way

[Today at 09:45:14 PM] SchizophrenicMC: So is my Jeep 4.0. Mechanically anyway. Damn EFI. And I could probably start it up and drive it around at this point without issue, becuase it's not broken, it's just finnicky and unreliable.

[Today at 09:56:44 PM] EternalSwap: If EFI is finicky and unreliable, that's because it is broken lol. Or at least damaged

[Today at 09:58:19 PM] SchizophrenicMC: Shhh

[Today at 09:58:31 PM] SchizophrenicMC: But seriously I am replacing the entire EFI system this August

[Today at 09:58:36 PM] SchizophrenicMC: Well almost all of it

[Today at 09:58:52 PM] SchizophrenicMC: The fuel injectors, MAP sensor, and IAT are all staying because they're all still good

[Today at 10:11:25 PM] SchizophrenicMC: At a cost of $600 or so, plus a new muffler. Then I want tow hooks.

[Today at 10:12:05 PM] SchizophrenicMC: So I'm looking at $785 to get the Jeep set up. With that in mind, I'm foregoing modifying the S13 this time around, unless I find a new job

RB20 swap
« on: 12:22:44 AM / 23-Apr-12 »
I plan on swapping an RB20 into my 87 once I get the money. It currently has a CA20 with a 5 spd tranny. I was hoping someone could help me with the wiring harness issue. I'd also appreciate any advice on the swap as far as common problems and tricks to make it easier. Thanks.

Did you even try looking? And the very first page of Exotic swaps, there is a thread about swapping in an rb20, only 13 threads down...

http://club-s12.org/v3/index.php?topic=33097.0

Interestingly enough, there are bunch of people in there that know the question has already been answered many times before in there!

Luckily, Draconis comes in with a save and this link:

BoostedVG (in regards to people hating on the VG) - Me thinks they were not the mechanic they thought and blamed it all on the engine.

If I could do it all over again I would go with a 1JZ like David B did.. Better motor all in all.

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.
i dont own a s12 at the moment but trying to acquire one to get rid of my s13 hatch

dont forget to torque the headpast FSM recommendations!

if you want a Toyota L6, why not a 1G-GE? Cheap as fuck at the importers.

1G > 7M/5M by far.

Though if your chasing big power, you're better off with a more modern motor. 1JZ non-VVTi with single turbo conversion is your best bet.
