I'm looking for pics of the '84 S12's SRA setup... removed from the car, with parts attached, without, FSM images, whatever you have.

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

Here's Davids H165, which isn't much different (Pretty much the braking system).

There has been much interest and work done on upgrading both the suspension and brakes on the SRAs over in Aussieland. Being that many of their cars were SRA (I feel more than what we received), may be worth a checking up on their tech threads and builds aye.

I like it... Been thinking a lot about my SRA lately... I have two 84 SRA s12s, one of which will be my VG30E+T build.. That being said, I was wondering what I could do to beef up the rear for the upcoming HP Goals (i.e. Differential, or complete swap all together). Was wondering if anyone has done a Ford 9" rear end swap that I've seen mentioned here and there on the board. The most I have in mind so far was just the s110 axles and mounting brackets for the rear disc conversion with s13 calipers, but I know that does not solve the Differential + HP worries.

I went to search for "SRA" but the search engine turned up nothing... you have any direct links?

^Word thanks Arro... must have missed that when I was reading that thread way back in the day during my late night forum lurking =P
Now, I wonder if anyone has ordered from ReiderRacing and installed. I plan on throwing some decent funding toward my build and hope to document as much as I can with pictures. I was thinking about investing in a GoPro camera to record engine and other disassembly/reassembly as well. Sorry for the off-topic tangent.

I would just give them a call. You might end up being the first who will document the results.

That is because it is not known as an SRA in Australia. It is known as a Live Axle. By doing a search for live axle, you'll come up with heaps. But something I thought would be advantageous: http://s12silvia.com/community/index.php?/topic/3487-coilover-rear-live-axel/

Another member (Ralph) did some great work at his live axle coilover setup and being that he actually takes his S12 out to the track, it has indeed proven its worth.

Btw, I've been working on a 'translation' page with the differing terminologies. I'll make it available to you when I have it finished.

Thanks, I'll search for "live axle". That looks exactly like what Marvin did on his SRA back in the day. Some of the pictures I found on there helped... We used to call it a live axle here too, in the first couple years of C-S12, but a majority of people started to call it "SRA" for short. It is true tho that the proper technical term is "live axle".

What I need to see now is pics of the sway bar on a live axle (SRA, whatever) and how it sits.

I actually need to see how the sway bar ends attach to things.

It's pretty much clamped on. You can see it here.
There is no mounting to the body. Just the lower arms.

I need a picture of the other side, where it clamps to the arm.

K-sport S13 coilovers. I don't remember the front alignment specs. 8k/6k.

DON'T run them if you plan on having an enjoyable S12 on the road at all... Great on the track, TERRIBLE on the street bumps and potholes.

doesn't it seem pretty stupid to have a sway bar attached to a solid rear end only and not tied to the body?
edit: never mind. read that way wrong.

If you still need pics I can get any pics you need tomorrow. Just post a list and I'll get them. Actually, I might get pics from all angles for the SRA info thread, along with finally seeing if the s110 rear brake shoes are the same and maybe trying to see if Datsun truck H190 LSD's will work in our H190. If so, I may have a few LSD options to add as well.
