Hello the intercooler is a safety measure not a horsepower maker.  if you have a small/stock turbo it will keep the intake temps low depending on how large and efficient of an intercooler.  if you have a large turbo it will help keep intake temps reasonable. i personally used an Evo 8 intercooler and custom 2.5" piping though my turbo isn't large yet.  i hear you can use a side mount from the later silvia's and such with little mods done to the piping. here is a link to my pics of the intercooler installed.

somewhere here i read that ic gives u some hp.. its logic when u think about it.. cooler mixture - more explosive mixture or not ?

cooler air temp makes it more dense, which means more fuel can be added to make a bigger explosion..  so yes, adding an intercooler can add horsepower, but it can also add the dreaded turbo lag.

Bolting it on won't add power, it gives you the ability to make more power though. It's like adding higher flowing injectors.

so the installation of ic or fmic to the ca18et is not a good investment ?!

actually it is a good investment it is just not going to give you extra horsepower just by bolting it up.  it will allow you to turn up the boost which will give you more power.  though if you are going to keep boost at a stock level and never turn it up then there really is no need yet since it seems like you have turned up the boost then i would say put one in and enjoy the extra safety measure till you up the boost even more

Actually, I bet there is an actual gain by just installing an intercooler... Being that the air charge will be that much cooler, especially when loading up the engine.

Granted it's not going to be a 50hp gain, but I would bet you could gain 10.

There are many choices available for intercoolers, I found one that works for me on Ebay. You need to figure where you want to mount the cooler and use the availible space to determine what size you can use. I increased my turbo to a T25 and used a fmic with aftermarket pipe kit to achieve my goal of more power. With a stock CA18ET you do not want to add much more power or you will have issues like a blown head gasket or worse, damaged internal parts. I chose a more modest approach because I use my car everyday and I wanted it to be more fun, yet still economical to drive.

i hope ya guys know that the s12 already have some sort of ,,cut here,, mark under the airfilter. since it come with a Intercooler from factory (hella rare) its no suprise that they prepare the body for the pipeing.
