[TX] Red Barron's 88 SE V6
« on: 03:38:01 PM / 20-Jul-13 »
Rescued my old car last year and had hoped to work on it some day. After a year of raising a new baby, I now realize, I don't need 2 S12s. You can read all about her history here. http://club-s12.org/retro4/index.php?topic=35135.msg371086#msg371086

Here is a video I recorded when I put her in storage. Still in storage. http://s1028.photobucket.com/user/jerrymarkham/media/IMG_3159-H264800Kbps.mp4.html

Summary, 350,000 miles, was running when I sold it originally. Got it back and the ignition switch is missing. Don't know if it runs now. Would need a battery possibly. The video tells much more.

Location is in Rockwall, Texas 75032. This car was in the 2009 S12 calendar 'October'. Not parting out and in no hurry to sell obviously. Serious offers only for pick up only. Asking $750 obi. PM me.

Pretty tempting. Rockwall ain't too terribly far from Arlington and $750 ain't too terribly bad. If I had space to put it I'd be there in a couple weeks with cash in hand. Unfortunately I do not, so I'm gonna have to let this one slip.

Godspeed and good luck with the sale. This is an illustrious one.

Yeah and I've been the owner since April 1999 with records.

Extremely tempting right now..

Funny story, I almost bought this car from the previous owner along with an SR before I found my black SE.

I am resurrecting this thread in a final effort to get this car into the hands of a Club-S12 member.

New house will be finished soon and that means the monthly storage lease must be terminated very soon. = Goodbye Redbarron.

Make offer. All or nothing. I don't have the time, tools or back to part her out. Will roll, tires will hold air but or pretty low at the moment. I will throw in whatever parts I have lying around (not that I really know anymore).

Email me as I don't come here all that often anymore. jerrymarkhamart@gmail.com

I'm very tempted, but I honestly couldnt give her what she deserves and would end up parting her. If this end is acceptable, I may be able to be enticed.
Hey, truck engine + truck turbo - why not?

Whoever buys old Red, I'll give you a set of dash vents once I have production going. It's the least I can do to try and keep this car in the family.

Ok, the original owner has passed on this. Here is the deal, My new house will be finished this summer. I don't know exactly when. I do know that when they tell me I have 30 days to close, I will need to get ready to move everything out of storage. I can't stress this enough. The car is not going to the new house and I will not continue to pay to store it.

I still have not gotten a single offer. That is unfortunate. I know it is a headache and costs money to relocate a car that is not running. I understand. I will refresh this post from time to time until either I move into my house or someone makes an offer, any offer at this point.

C'mon folks. I really don't want to lose this car to anyone outside the S12 family again. (copied to S12-org and FB)

Congratulations to Phil. That's 2 SEs for him now. I'll be watching it very closely.

Yeah that's Phil for you, with his sagging skinny jeans.

It'll have to be after I get mine running, and hopefully Phil gets the red car running, and then I can be the only one who shows up without a V6.

I kinda wanted it too, but I've got too much else going on to take it. Glad somebody local nabbed it.

If it's late summer I might show up -- without a V6.  I anticipate being a Texan by then.

If its dallas area, I'd drive down from Duncan to a meet. I'd be without a V6 as well.
