The Japanese Classic Car Show had over 400 cars this year, featuring vehicles with a generation that began no later than 1985, and with some cars as old as 1959. Toyotas, Mitsubishis, Hondas, Mazdas... and of course, Nissans/Datsuns! And a nice show of S12's for this year's JCCS -- 8 cars total. Each with their own style, each representing the S12 chassis. There were many more cars in that class, including a handful of slick Z31's, but it was the S12 chassis that took both 1st and 3rd place in the 80's Datsun/Nissan category! 2nd place went to an amazing looking blue S110 hatch, which deserved its share of the stage.
Many people came to check out the S12's at the show, and lots of compliments were given to all eight of the featured S12's. Colin Masterson took 1st place with his RB26DETT swap-powered 200SX SE model, and Jason Arro won 3rd place with his FJ20 equipped Silvia RS-X (imported from Japan). A win for both is a win for the S12, as the chassis continues to gain respect and appreciation from more and more Japanese car enthusiasts.
It was a great day, with lots of great cars, and the S12 represented its status with pride and presence.
