Title: Tire Size Calculator & Offset Calculator
Post by: Indecisive on 11:24:33 PM / 25-Apr-06
okay, since new rims and stuff are common mods, here's a tire size calculator and offset calculator for you kids to play with to figure out if the rims/tires you're looking into will be right.

Tire Size Calculator (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html)
Stock tire size
ca18et/vg30e
205/60/15

ca20e
195/60/15

Remember, whatever tire size you're getting, you should TRY to match it to be as close to stock as possible.

Offset Calculator (http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp)
Stock width = 6" wide
Stock offset = 35+

(just a note, more than 5 or 6 mm more inner clearance is too close to the strut on the front)

This may be silly. But some fwd wheels do fit. Tody i just picked up a clean set of 03 se-r spec v sentra wheels. They fit but need spacers lol. I got them cheep, and when they guy brought them to me, after seeing that i would need spacers he knocked off $50 cause he just wanted to get rid of them. I wil be taking pictures of the wheels that came on the car when i got it, and then of the se-r wheels on it, and will post what size spacers will be needed just in case anyone else decides to go with these wheels.

I would really like to see those pics!  I was wondering how those wheels would look!
