In order to increase my horsepower, must I:

-Fit my setup (intercooler+ colder spark gap reduced+ Manual Boost Controller -but not to screw it-) then go the garage (5KMs) to advance the timing, then back to home, screw the MBC for 0.7, 0.8 Bars viewed on my boost gauge

-Go to my garage full stock, advance the timing, back to home and fit my set up and increase the boost

-or something else?

The better way will be go at the garage stock, fit the setup (I/C, spark plug..), do the advance... but the garage want to fit the set up him self and as they said it will cost some 300€   :violin: ...

So?

Just fit the setup yourself. Go buy a timing gun for alot less than the install cost. You should be able to do it yourself from there.

I don\'t know how use it and i prefer not to kill my CA18ET  8-) .

So what is the correct option?

Loosen the 2 dist. bolts.....point and shoot timing gun to desired timing mark......re-tighten 2 dist. bolts.  Sweet and simple.
15 degrees + or - 2 degrees is stock.....which is the second tick mark from the right.  I have mine set to about 17 or 18 degrees.....which is closer to the last tick mark on the right side.....which is 20 degres

Thanks but already know the timing procedure ;).
But i don\'t have a flash lamp to adjust this it\'s not an simply operation you can blown you\'re motor.

Keith

I was just trying to save you some $$.  A good timing light in the U.S. cost around $50....maybe a tad cheaper.  The procedure is simple.....and if you adjust the timing with a timing light........you\'re pretty safe......just don\'t go past the 20 degree mark.......or you may get some detonation under boost.
