well after 6 months wait ... i finally have the powerglide

http://members.optusnet.com.au/~stewarttin...res/powerglide/

As you can see ... It uses the standard VH45DE bell housing with an adapter plate to the powerglide.
The red plate is a B&M trans shield so i dont lose my legs. I have to get a ballistic blanket so i dont lose my feet if the convertor lets go.
You can see the transbrake solenoid on the back.
The box is full manual valve body and warranted to 1000-1100 hp.
The last pic is of the PWR trans cooler. around 300x280 or so

Now i just have to get under the car and scrub it with very VERY potent degreaser. Because as it is ... the gearbox is too nice to put in the car

like??

not really anything interesting at my house. all the engine parts are 2 hours away at a mates workshop. oh except for the bead blasted parts, powerglide, ratchet shifter and the injectors

i do have to trek up there soon though to take some shots of the engine being reassembled with the studs and stuff

i wish it was more exciting but its a pretty basic build i guess. just a big motor, big turbo, powerglide and a motec
