When was the last time
« on: 06:50:28 AM / 24-Jun-16 »
I've owned my notch since 94. I used to occasionally see other s12's on the road. The last one I've seen was last summer near Kalamazoo mi a hatch.  When was the last time you have seen an s12 ???

I  live in Florida, and I have a buddy that lives in the same town that drives a S12 Hatch Turbo with a KA swap. I seem him quite often, but the last time i saw one driving that wasn't by an enthusiast like us, was actually a few weeks ago. It was a MKI notch, in pristine condition, driven by an older black lady. It looks like she takes meticulous care of the car as well. It was nice to see one of these cars in the same condition as it was when it came off the showroom floor.

I think I am the only one in my area.
I have not seen one in years even driving up in Chicago.

What timing on this thread.  I just saw a dark blue MK1 hatch yesterday afternoon on my way to work in Oceanside.  I was so tempted to follow her so I can give her a flyer for the July 30 S12 meet in San Diego.  Unfortunately, I was on the left hand lane and she made a right turn.  I can only watch and admire (her and the car) until she disappeared over the hill.  I have come to conclusion that I will see an S12 in the yards at least once every 8 months.  I have 3 yards in my city.

I ran into a local guy with an 85 hatch. Spotted his car in a Jack In The Box parking lot and swerved over to pull in. Turns out his dad owned the car first and eventually gave it to him. Since that time he's acquired an 87 with a VG and another 85. They all need some work and I've helped him a little with some things, gave him my old Clymer book. I expect to help him get his latest 85 on the road.

Other than the Local enthusiast I saw a gray Mk1 notch about 3 months ago. Not many on the road here other than the Obvious enthusiasts...

Other than Waylon's when he moved here this month, I haven't seen one in years. I'd say almost ten years to be exact. It was a guy in a white '84 Turbo, out by Newport Beach.

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.
i dont own a s12 at the moment but trying to acquire one to get rid of my s13 hatch

I was talking to an engineer last week who was saying it's time to sell his '87 RX7. I mentioned I've got a wedge from the same vintage and he said he almost bought one back when he was shopping except they didn't have enough power.....

Probably why we don't see that many. What was the target market anyhow?
Infrequently driving an s12.

Target market was low level sportscar, like the S13 was.
