Yeah so I brought the S12 to the track this evening.. weather was about 60F and it was sligthly dripping.. not raining but just a few drops there and there.

205/50R15 general UHP with 34psi of pressure all around
Megan Racing Coilover
stock open diff!

Best time was 16.02

Reaction time was quite unconsistent, since it was my first time on a drag. from 0.8 to 1.1

60ft were around 2.4 - 2.5sec

Worst time was a 18.26 (last run) when it was really starting to rain lol.. i did a 20ft long spin when I kicked in 3rd gear.. so you get the idea of the condition of the track lol.

Overall I'm quite happy with it, with a 86MPH it should be between 15.3-15.8sec on a dry track.. maybe even better!

Video coming as soon my friend send them to me!

Not too bad.

Open diff is killing your 60' though, I know that pain.
My best time a few years ago was 14.00 with about the same R/T and 60', but the track was shit, my tune was messed up (bad knock sensor jacked up timing) and again, open diff blows.

Of course I haven't been back since, because I know for a fact that I will be in the 13's with out breaking a sweat, and I don't have a helmet.

yeah, they are redoing it this weekend because of the rain. I might go back and try lowering the rear tire pressure and smoothening to the max the rear shock. Coilover isn't helping for 0-60 either.

yeah they asked for an helmet there? i didnt know you needed an helmet for some drag in a street car, so I found a sympathic army guy who let me borrow is motorbike helmet for the event since I didn't brought my helmet. was very fun! especially since nothing broked down on the car

sideways_s12

wow you don't have to wear a helmet unless you run better than 12's here

DjayS12

I know, next time I'm bringing my SA2005 helmet lol.

Maybe they thought I have a beast that run 11s lol

Well normally if you run faster than 13.999, you need a helmet. NHRA rules.
Whether the track enforces it is up to them, I guess.

I cant believe they let you run in the rain. All the tracks around here shut things down with 1 drop of water. Maybe thats the reason they wanted you to wear a helmet?

Anyone interested in turbocharging their vg? Shoot me a PM. Buck Ofama

Well at the beginning it was not raining, but it was kinda cold and very humid (there is a lot of fog around here) so the track wasn't perfectly dry

but on my last run I did a 18.6 sec runs from spinning in 2nd and 3rd gear lol, the other car, a muscle car with huge slicks just gave up and did a 24sec run lol
