6.5 and 6 3/4 are generally known to be the same essentially

i have infinty g35 6x9's  in the rear strut tower speakers

1. you have to take out the old speaker and bracket.
2. install the 6x9 with by ethier drilling new holes
or bolting it to the stock bracket hole(3 out of 4 hole directly bolt in)
3. you will have to bend the 6x9 speaker case an 1/8th inch in one spot to clear the stock speaker cover(you will see where to bend once you get it bolted)
4. put something something around the base of the stock speaker covers to keep the covers from rattleing

sounds super crisp  and doesnt rattle anything
plus it fits perfect even without the speaker covers

g35 6x9, pioneer, 6 inch fronts, drop-in box Type R 10" and roof mounted tweats

I'm wondering more about the wiring of audio in S12. I study sound in university but just never had any hands-on or experience with car audio...live and recording I can do lol. so I'm not unfamliiar with audio terms.

I did a ghetto setup until I get my amp back from my parents basement. I bought a 10" Yamaha powered sub for a home audio system. A 150w Power inverter (Cig lighter to house power) wired from one of the back speakers to the powered sub inputs. Then powered the sub through the power inverter. As long as you use a sub that sucks a relatively low amount of power this setup works just fine. I've had it in two cars as a 10 minute sub addition. It makes great bass. Almost as good as a dedicated system/sub of this size with zero hassle. Though to be fair, the sub goes for like $200. (Got it at a pawn shop for $50)

Just wondering about the installation procedure for the speakers on the rear deck. Do the speaker covers come off separately or does the whole top of the rear deck come off as one piece?

I've got 5 3/4 in the front though they were slightly to small because everything else was to big, and 6.5s in the back, would have kept stock speakers but they were blown :(
