Car no longer has the Volk GTP's and releaseable steering wheel on there. But car still looks the same otherwise...

I love your beater man.

It would look pretty good with just a fender and touch up paint.

Where are the wheels? They fit the car pretty good.
I'd rather be a matchstick than a lighter.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it is a pretty nice beater. I know the car doesn't need much work to get it looking nice, but I don't have that much time messing around with cars and/or hitting the junk yards anymore.

The reason why I took off the wheels were my new set of tires I bought were too big for the front of the s12 and was scratching when I turn. I swapped them over to my s13, looks decent on the s13(215/50/16).

The HKS thing was the previous owners' work. He use to work for HKS so he had access to all the HKS goodies for the s12. Couldn't locate an hks intercooler kit though unfortunately. I tried locating an HKS intercooler kit myself, even with the parts importing guys on ebay...they all said the same thing. Discontinued!

asparagus: I figured since you showed off your old school HKS gauges I'd have to show mine off too LOL

IggyEGuana: Thanks a lot for the compliment.

sideways_s12: Actually, there's someone coming out either this evening or tomorrow evening to come and check it out. We will see!

He wants to buy the car and part it out. Or more like buy the car and swap all the goodies into his current s12 since his is in better condition.

I actually like these better than the Volk GTP's I had on before. The only downside is that I either need smaller tires or camber. For some odd reason the driver side tires are scratching, but not the passenger side tires.

YES! It's about time you took a bunch of pics... really good photo blogging, man... and I LOVE the new wheels, looks perfect.

Let me tell you guys... Sterling and I saw this car in person, and we took it for a spin. This thing had a crated CA18ET engine put in it, and it has to be one of the nicest underhood stock setups I've ever seen... well stock except for the BOV. Pulls strong and smooth... this car is a great project, and the owner is a good guy

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.
i dont own a s12 at the moment but trying to acquire one to get rid of my s13 hatch

I don't want to break your hopes but, I'm almost absolutely sure that s14 power brace WILL NOT FIT. It's true that s14 tension rod brackets are generally used on our cars for the s13 conversion, but you added another variable into the mix. That bar that connects them both makes them line up perfectly to the s14 chassis, however I'm 99% sure that the distance between the two brackets is different for the s12.

If you're really seriously about a powerbrace for the tension rod brackets, it's not too hard(or expensive if you go to a shop) to weld a bar and small gussets to the stock brackets(after much measurement) and box in the bottom of the brackets.

edit: As for your front wheels, just keep letting the tires hit your fender. The worst it'll do is ROLL YOUR FENDERS FOR YOU  But if you seriously want it to stop, you can just roll it yourself with a roller or a hammer+heat.

It's okay, I like honesty. I live to learn. Now that you mentioned that, I should have looked first. I saw it at such a good price I bought it without thinking/researching. I guess I'll have to crawl under my car this weekend and hold up the S14 power brace up under the car to see if it'll fit, maybe take some distance measurements. If it does not fit, I guess it's going to a buddy with a stock s14. He'll pay what I paid for it...already asked him.

I can't let you be the gineau pig only.

----------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the compliments Jason. Making me blush...

On a serious note though, one of these days I'm gonna have to come down and check out your never-ending project. You and Sterling are great guys yourselves, glad to have you guys on the forums.

I also need to buy hubcentric rings for the rims before it kills my wheel bearings. Hub bore on the rims are a little too big for the s12.
