Nah, all KA's have that silver/gold looking valve cover. I figured you painted yours black, previous owner did probably.

Are you sure? I've seen some cars that were bone stock, 95 and up, and they had black KA valvecovers. The owners weren't the kind to do that...

meh... either way, it's getting some pimptastic powdercoating treatment in the near future...

Yeah, absolutely. A lot of people paint their valve covers black though, and people tend to paint and sell them individually too.

Yeah, I saw all the Ebay crinklepainted and plain powdercoated valvecovers. Most of them boring blues and reds and blacks.

Update:

As of May 15, 2008, at 3:25pm, my S12 has a running, working engine in it, for the first time in four years. I just heard the sucker start up!

It ran for a couple minutes then shut off, so Sterling is sorting out the quirks, but it runs and drives
