im painting my boss's truck. its going to be metallic orange, possibly with a satin black two tone. he is a major sf giants fan so we'll see. its a 1969 ford ranger with a 390 and 4 on the floor. there will be other work done after paint, like wheels and a major drop. theres some rust and some rott, it will all be fixed by me. i spent all day yesterday stripping it down, bumpers , trim, emblems, moldings and lights. its ready for the body work, which im doing atm. im making a new roll pan for the back to replace the rear bumper, then im going to mold it into the bed. i should have it primered by thurs, blocked out by sunday then when we dont have foggy weather im going to seal, base and clear it as soon as possible. i'll follow up on this thread soon, i have my buddys s13 to finish up too. along with working full time so bare with me. its in pretty bad shape but it will be looking purty here soon.

Quote from: ka-t.orgHella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

update: been super busy with lots of things like work, life, hobbies and projects. i finally got some work done on this rustbucket. there were lotsa dents the rust was hiding, but they are taken care of now. the drivers side bedside was rusted apart, the two bedpanels seperated so i spent hours on that. in this pic you can see some of the holes but you cant really tell the rust ate all the way through. stupid me forgot to get nice pics of the before damage. what i did was took some 1/2inch wide steel and wedged it where the panels meet, drilled a few holes in the sheet metal then welded it from the backside to the bed. i welded a nice long bead on the outside where the new metal was, then grinded it down smooth and put some filler to smooth it out. it turned out perfect. i got that side of the bed primered and behind the cab as well. i have the next few days off so i should have it fully primed seeing as how all the body work is done. i spent lots of time welding in the trim holes all over the truck and grinding them down and such. once its all primered im going to block it down and finish sand it, but im going to spray some por-15 instead of the normal sealing, then do some finsinh sanding on that and then spray sealer and base/clear. that should stop the rust from coming back. enough talk heres your favorite things...pics. more to come

zoomed in veiw of bed damage, where i slid in the sheet metal.
