The Hilux rear shocks are lower then stock S12 live axle items and being a 4x4 shock they come in a wide range of prices & adjustability. With my "King Spring" Low rear springs they are just held captive by the shocks.

Tough Dog shocks - 35mm adjustable (I think these are the ones?) - http://www.toughdogdealer.com.au/shocks35mm.htm

If they are shorter than the live axle S12 shocks, then they are probably similar to the Camaro rear shocks. I heard those are perfect for lowered SRA guys and the foxbody shocks being a perfect replacement for stock SRA and good for lowered IRS cars.

Here's a couple more videos from over a week ago at Lakeside Raceway:

Lakeside - Session 2 - Best time 1:04.21
Lakeside - Session 3 - Best time 1:04.23

I'm heading back to the QR track this weekend with the backing plates off the front rotors and new front EBC Red pads. This track isn't as hard on the brakes as Lakeside though so I expect they won't give me troubles regardless.

The Big Block has a new stable mate - The Green Machine (formerly Matty Castle's from the March 2009 calendar).

http://s456.photobucket.com/albums/qq285/C...reen%20Machine/

It's going to get the Big Block's current suspension setup & over time the SR20DET will see a good increase in power & torque.

Lucky guy you are I consider Matts old green one of the best looking s12's. Does it still have watanabes on? And something about it can't be street drivable anymore right?

Nvm the question about watanabes I just clicked your linkie. If you ever consider selling the grill on the green one I'm up to it. It would be a shame to ruin it while racing.

No, Matty kept the RS-8's. I'm not a fan of the personally & they'll never fit over 4 pot brakes. I'll be putting the Keichi Tsuchia/Enkie wheels from the big block on it with the race tyres.

No I'm not selling that grille, it'll end up on the big block. One day I'll finish off the custom front bar I've been working on for the last 8 or so years which will go on the green machine.

dude, you are my savior..

because, instead of getting a swap, i will just do what u did! i think it would cost way less, and be easier.

how much did it all cost? rough estimate?

thanks!

Hahaha, cost less, that's a good one. Mate the Big Block owes me over AU$20,000 all up (complete build not just the engine). It's anything but cheap which is why I've just bought Mattys car because it was so cheap & will be a lot stronger/more reliable.

true, but i already got a good suspension, brakes and everything else..
i just need to put in new injectors, pistons, rods, bearings, then the turbo & new ecu.

so in my case, would be easier and cheaper than having to buy a engine, harness, ecu, trans.  Also, i dont even have a welder, so that would just add to the cost of swapping.
i will get a welder, but thats a couple months into the future.

but im willing to give putting a turbo in a ca20e a shot.
