So Sterling and I picked up his new "prize" lol... a 1985 CA20E automatic hatch. $300 bux. I dunno if he's posted about it yet, but if not, here's a thread for it.

We tossed some names around, but in the aftermath of my hallucinations (I was sick w/ flu), I came up with this name, because of the 80's-tastic rack on the top that begs for a longboard. The rack stays, he says.

Anyways I don't want to get into it too much, it's his car not mine, but I took the pics on my phone, so here they are. I tried for 10 minutes to hose this bitch off, but some of this crud is gonna take some serious elbow grease. Maybe even some craZy hi-tech nanomachines to get it clean, I dunno.

The hellhole it sat in for over 2 years:

Serious about the hazmat.  Why did you get ANOTHER S12.  You havent even finished yours!  Both of you!  Trust me, you only want one at a time.  lol  I've been there and done that!  But then again, I had like 4 going on at one time.

get some prep-wipe paint solvent. it removes everything except the paint. anything that removes grease, wax or silicone will get that off.

Well, tell me when you have a total of 5.  Then you can be my status.  That would be CA20E, RB20DET, CA18ET, CA20E and CA18DET.

Dang.  So close.  I guess I'll just have to grab another one or two.

sideways_s12

do it! I know I will if I can find an auto vg that'll be another one Kendra wants an s12 and she fell in love with this vg at this guys shop but I didn't have the money right then so we had to pass it up...

so there will be another added to the collection when I can find a nice vg

Draconis

The SEs are nice.  From what I can recall I've had 2 manuals and 1 auto.

200sxkitcar

Jason, you are right, the battery is almost new! haha

Well, its raining like fuckn hell here, so I pulled it out and got drenched but its nice and clean now!  at least on the outside, LOL  I used a windshield washer/squeege combo thing like are at the gas stations on the pumps, I found it in the hatch, to scrub it down which worked pretty well but I fucked the scrubber up good!  Then I used a bucket and scooped water out of the center channel in the parking lot to help rinse it down!  I would take pics, but... its fuckn raining like hell, lol.  Much better than before... It has sat for at least 5 years, and it shows.  The 2002 looney toons calender in the back was pretty tight, as well as the 4 or 5 floor mats on the pass side.

The reason I grabbed this is pretty simple, the notch is a decent amount of work from being cali register-able, and I wanted a hatch for moving larger things, and an auto for shitty traffic/occasional commuting, and just to have a spare.  Its kinda nice to have two of the same cars.  Nothing major will happen to this car for some time, just a full tune up and maintenance, its actually in fairly good shape, just needs cleaning/refreshening.  I think a full set of Konis, a mod_mastaz coilover conversion for the rear and weld-over sleeves for the front, but only 150lb springs, and a SOLID slam will be in the works, BUT...

Expect the CA20,

and the AUTO,

to stay!
haha

don't expect either to be stock tho!

Nothing like that for awhile tho, so lets not get too crazy out there   i hadn't even intended on starting a build thread, but someone  couldn't contain themselves

btw, does anyone know of anybody that builds/has parts/info for built Nissan automatic transmissions??

oh, and I think the interior will be gone, but thats sort of a forgone conclusion haha
