USEF says "Impulsion is the term used to describe the transmission of an eager and energetic, yet controlled propulsive energy generated from the hindquarters into the athletic movement of the horse.". How cool is that? Impulsion build here

s12god

they have rot spots, and are not complete. I will give them to you if you pay shipping.

Julie

lol youre car is the same color as mine with the same missing turbo kit corners in the first pics. theyre so pretty in blue imo

welcome to the blue turbo s12 club lol

Are these pretty slow form the factory or is mine not 100%? Mine don't seem to run right until I have boost. Then It's still slow.

Draconis

Well, what you're feeling is the lack of torque after having fun with the VG.  Yours may not be at 100% but they are decently quick but you just cant get the same feeling you do out of the SE.  Having owned and driven all models, I can say that the SE is by far the more aggressive in feel.  Also, tips on the suspension swap.  Just save every nut/bolt and follow a fsm.  It's fairly straight forward so you shouldnt have much issue.  Just swap over the whole thing: hub, axles, trailing arms and such.  May seem like a big job but it will be a lot easier in the long run.

Julie

its a 2800lb car with a 120hp turbo engine. its not really fast at all

thanks,
I had to buy that, because the previous owner Had one that was completely broke. The base was still connected but the filter parts was not. It was just sitting on there. I Don't even know how it stayed on. I went and bought one right before I even started her up. It really just gave me a reason to buy new parts. The oil was also black. I putted home the whole way, hating every second of the ride. She did like the fresh oil though. She ran so much better. I change my oil all the time. Fluids are one thing that can be neglected.

That filter is the nicest thing on this engine. That sucks. It wont be stock and shitty for long. First thing is to make her reliable, and to make every thing tight & fresh.

Praizewood

can you take picture of the spot? It could be a big pack with the sideskirts + tail lights.

Im in a bit hurry on this one sorry for bumping and hijacking but I need to know if unadjusted rocker arms can cause engine vibrations that can be feeled on clutch pedal? Or is it a loose rod bearing? And how to adjust the rocker arm?

Wow. Post a thread about it.  No one is going to be looking at this thread expecting to find a question about this.

I tightened my rocker arm that was loose. I didn't get any pics because it was 2:30 in the morning.
HELP!!!!!
It runs like shit. It will bog down and spit and sputter. No back firing. It just looses power and wants to idle at 300-400 rpms. It jerks really bad because it wants to smooth out. My a/f gauge goes nuts it jumps up and down. but it is a narrow ban. It only does this when the engine is cold. once it's warm it runs ok. but after 3000 rpms it feals like it has a bad flat spot, no more power no less.It don't pull very hard at all. I get boost, and fast (5lbs) but it feels like I have a bad flat spot after 3-4 grand. it only pulls a lil when I have boost.
It also blew out the exhaust gaskets after the turbo. I'm thinking the cat is clogging. I'm going to add a test pipe and new gaskets tomorrow. I'm also goin to add a new 60mm t.b. and a new tps from a spare 52mm. I'm also going to clean the mafs. Any one have any idea what this turd is doing.

You cant expect much for 500 bucks. I still love the lil b*tch.

Look at all that horse power.

I agree.  That looks pretty damn nice.

S12 god, have you done the obvious and ran ECU codes?

s12god

Thanks guys,  I ran the codes. 44 =ok. I tighten down the rocker arm. No more ticking. I did find out why she was running sluggish. The the turbo manifold bolts are backing out. Major boost leak. One is stripped. I didn't get to work on it much. I was busy working on the SE. It should be done soon and the will become my d/d. Then I will park the turbo.
I haven't mentioned it much, but I'm doing a ka24de swap. One of my brothers is doing a SR20det swap, And the other is doing a ca18det swap. They are helping me piece together a complete ka42de swap. The KA24 Is a great engine for our cars. My brothers also donated a used 2.5 cat back and a used cold air intake. I cant start the KA swap until my SE swap is done. Wont be too long.

*New Picks*
