if you decide to keep the ca18et it comes alive with a t25 from a DET or SR and the easy basic mods just dont plan on spending alot on it unless your going to put a DET in it then you can re-use almost all your aftermarket parts
Fashion can be bought, style you must possess.

I'm definitely not keeping the ca18et. The ka24de and all the needed parts were free. All I have to do is buy cams, head gasket, intake gaskets. If I do keep the ca18et it will be to swap in a coupe, It could be a great engine, If It had a few upgrades. IMO the ka24de is a bad mofo stock, and It will be pretty quick in the 84. The ca18et would be better in something a little lighter.

Since the ka24de swap is so cheap. I'm going to go ahead and go with a ka24det. I'm going to run low boost. 5-7lbs I almost have all the parts needed. I have a t-2 from the ca18et, I have a side mount intercooler from a 1st gen eclipse. And a bov from a 3000gt/TT.I need 370cc SR injectors, KA turbo manifold, SAFC,
I know the t-2 is small but that's why I'm using it. The KA I have is stock. I'm only looking for 5 lbs and a 35-40h.p. gain. plus the t-2 will spool fast. I'm looking for fast and cheap. I have another car for reliability.
Any suggestions?

Would this manifold crack if I was only running 7lbs? It's a ebay cheapo.

My ca18et just took a dump on me. yesterday the alternator belt was loose so I tightened it. I pulled into wal-mart tonight and it died. I popped the hood and the belt had flipped. So i took it off and put it back on. It was stretched bad. THe alt bolt was at the end of the bracket. It did make it home but it wasn't charging. Not to sure why it flipped.
It's coming out this weekend and the ka24de build is starting. The SE will be done this weekend, That will be my d/d. I hate this ca18et w/ the b-trans. The engine is ok, besides the manifold bolts are stripped. the trans sucks, it needs syncros.  I hope the ka will treat me better!

LOL! The same reason I tried a KA swap in my turbo was because of alternator issues, started by stretched belt, then dead alt. Hahah

No shit that's crazy. I have everything I need to do the ka swap except a 240 front drive shaft. The ca18et in it's stock form is a turd. the ka will be a nice fresh breath. I'm scrapping that stupid ass digi dash too. That was a terrible idea for the s12's. I have some carbon fiber sheets I'm going to use for the cluster. I just need to pick up some gauges.

Praizewood

If the digi dash is in good condition i would like to buy it from you. Digital madness!
I see you baby,

USEF says "Impulsion is the term used to describe the transmission of an eager and energetic, yet controlled propulsive energy generated from the hindquarters into the athletic movement of the horse.". How cool is that? Impulsion build here

The wire harness for my ka24de swap.

Pulled My KA24DE today from The donor car. The engine is out of a 93 240sx. The valve cover will have to go. I have a nice black one to go in it's place. This was the first time I go to see my KA. I didn't even know about the Injen intake or the under drive crank pulley. Not a bad start.

A few pics before the tear down.I think I'm going to paint her while the engine is out. The ca18et will be going in a friends old school BMW.

i wouldnt waste my time with the ca t25, the ka will be pushing it pretty hard, even at low boost.
