Ok look, I'm ammending the "guidelines" on moderation, at least for me... if you have under 1,000 posts, or you're under a year on here, I'm going to assume you aren't joking because you didn't make it obvious that you were.

It doesn't matter if you're "just playin'". If you're new, you gotta pay your respects until people know you enough to know you're not disrespecting them.

So yet another warning gets issued to someone else.

To keep things on topic... HyphysS12, your car DOES need some work... but you know that already.

My recommendations are to put in the cornerlights and paint the hood RED to match. Black hoods look kinda like immitation "carbon fiber" look. Some people might like it, but I don't. Anyways I hope you get a chance to do more to your car, whatever you choose to do.

THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

Your notch is looking pretty good..

Personally, I'm painting my hood black because it looks weird rattlecanning it the same color as the car its a different shade..

Arro

Hmmm... maybe *flat* black would look better...?

You have a problem with what I did? Why? And by the way, go update your location information. I think it's been pretty obvious that we've been directing people to do that, too.

You're way, and I mean wet-behind-the-ears way, too new to be questioning our forum policies. Especially with a one-word "driveby" comment. If you have an issue with what was done, say something constructive about that *in the proper section* (feedback), otherwise I'm going to take your one-word comment as inciting more problems.

We have a generally flamewar-free site here.... there's lots of newer peeps, but lots of people who've been here for awhile.

And for those of you who have joined within the last year, and have no idea who the hell I am, I'll say this: When I was more active, I was also less tolerant of pot-shots at each other. I don't have favoritism... if a friend of mine tooka pot-shot at someone on here, he'd get a warning, too. Shit like this is old news to me; I've been here for six years, and like the other Moderators, have seen every kind of conflict on here that could crop up.

This thread is about HyphysS12's car pics. But the matter of warnings and policy is done in this thread, and if I see another comment about it *in this thread*, I will lock the thread. I don't like the idea of doing it, but that's normal practice.

HyphysS12, I'm sorry about all this, it seems that hecklers and the like try to ruin everything for everyone.

Let's just get back to Bob's red notchback, and no more talking about this drama nonsense.

Bob, I still think the hood would look good in a flat black.

maybe even flat black the inside of the wheels, and leave the rim unpainted.... ?

About removing interior parts... sometimes, when you buy an S12, you decide, "the panels and carpet look like shit, the rear seat is torn, and the headliner is falling off." So you strip it, not for weight savings, but because it just looks *cleaner*.

lol, i still dunno how it looks cleaner... im in that current position my self, the drivers inside door fell off, and it like all S12 interior panels are too far gone to save, so it went... the passengers is about the same condition and it may go soon, along with the rear seat "panels." im just wondering if i should bite the bullet and toss everything but my seat and carpet and dash? and when I'm picking up a screwdriver to actualy do it, i look at the drivers door and it just looks like arse...

btw, good looking S12 there Hyphys12. Im glad you "chopped" your grill, cause i was thinking about doing the same thing, but not sure how id look. but seeing that, maybe a Black "propped look" hood and the chopped grill might look good on mine too, or at least it ought to be some nice v6 hot air venting fun

I want a notchy pretty bad...

well found out i threw a rod and the motor is toast. the good thing is that im ordering a ca18det in 2-3 weeks. and got about 500 a month to spend on building it. thank god to of found a full time with all the shit goin down. gonna clean the interior up and spray some bed liner on the inside for sound and to keep the heat in since i ditch my shitty interior when i first bought it. well hopefully if my girl finds her camera ill have some pics up of the motor and shit when i get it.

it bolts directly into the stock mounts, the C trans can be used if you mod the tranny mount. you can also use the B trans, which i think is direct bolt on... or you have to swap bellhousings. i forget which. you can also run a more common SR clutch if you swap to a SR flywheel and do a lil grinding inside the bellhousing. pm me and ill send you a link to the website that has the tutorial, if youre interested

once thats all in, you just need to do the wiring. i think its 6 or 7 wires to make it run, then you can wire up all the accessories and sensors.

thats just the basics though... youll still need to install a intercooler, install electronics to go with the engine, install additional gauges, etc etc etc. im sure im forgetting some little things, but thats the rough outline. its not a difficult swap... its just the wiring that can be a bit of a bother.

OK, well since I wont have the money to order the engine til early May, anything i could get ready/done now while I wait for the CA18DET? I got the motor and tranny out, cleaned the engine bay, added a v6 lip and cleaned the interior...Check the For Sale forum for my engine part out...

actually a good idea, my gfs civic hatch has a flat black hood and it looks better then it would if it was gloss black, so ima sand my hood down and paint it flat black.

suspension and brakes. power is nothing if it cant get to the ground as effectively as possible

all new bushings, performance shocks and lower springs, convert to z32 calipers, etc
