LOL, as I mentioned, those bottom pics are NOT North Carolina.  That's my parents' house in Buffalo, NY.  Christmas 2001.  7 feet in two days.  I never saw anything like it.

It does not snow like that in NC.  Not even the mountains get that much, and here in Raleigh it never snows more than an inch or two a couple times a year, and some years not at all.  Those top pics are from Raleigh, and that's about all we ever see.
