yeap, theres exactly why. I didn't think i had any clearance issues until i put my car down from jack stands. I had s13 shock and springs before, and it would droop in the air. So, when the car was on the ground, it would sit under the oil pan, and when it was in the air, it would look like yours. Now with coilovers, it just sits underneath the oil pan.

why isnt an s14 pickup an option?

its a good idea either way.

thats why nissan used them in the later s13 blacktop srs also.

Cause I am considering getting an xcessive manufacturing oil pan that uses an sr sump on a ka...



with the sump attached...


I'm not actually going to be using it on an sr.  I know this isnt the right section for the motor I want to use it on, but I figured this would be the section i would get the info I am looking for.

i have a knockoff that needs a new drain plug hole tapped. 40 bux for sr20, both pieces

Any aluminum oil pan will shatter if struck hard enough--even the sheet ones. If they shatter the engine will suck up debris, metal shavings, etc and cause damage. I like the tomei steel oil pan. similar design to the greddy unit, but steel. In case of impact, it bends, I make it home, I bend back. No worries.
