How can it fuck up a decal the way I describe it? When you peel the backing off, you smooth it out from the taped end on down to the other end. When you remove the wax backing, you peel at a severe angle to let the letters stay on the window, not enough angle and they could stay on the backing. The guy showed me both results.

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

hmmm...maybe i misunderstood how you said it the first time...it sounds like it would be really easy to do it that way if you didnt have any wind or had two people...one to squeegee down and one to peel from the bottom....most of the time when i put decals on a vehicle it is outside in the rain and wind...because the sign/sheetmetal shop doesnt have enough room to bring vehicles inside. The way i said was how i was shown though and it is the easiest way i have found to apply vinyls.

Yeah wind can be a factor... and yep it helps to have a buddy if it's windy. Try to do them inside if possible, of course.

Trust me, I went through not one, but three decal guys before sorting it all out right with this fourth dude. He does a good job. I save on the cost of the decals by getting a group at a time. He isn't using the cheaper vinyl, he's using the industrial stuff so it's expensive. Also, he says most of the cost comes from the labor. He has to hand-pick out the excess pieces. I asked him how they do it in big factories and he said, "they hire lots of people to pick like I'm doing it." Anyways he has a nice shop, good-sized, and he makes all sorts of decals, banners, signs, etc. I got a winner here. But believe me the cost is modest.

Making these things isn't cheap. I don't make anything off of them. And as it is I have to buy the boxes for the banners.

Reversing it is easy on his computer. But printing them one-off or even two-off isn't cheap. I can't justify it without someone paying me a lot more.

Hey Arro

I am not trying to step on yer junk or anything, but I have a friend that has a laser cutting set-up and if I can get a good enough price I would like to have him cut some decals reversed.

Can you share the vector art? or what ever format you are using?  If you are willing to share let me know what the format is so I can consult with Ed (my buddy).  I may be able to get a real good rate if you are interested in a future run.

I trust the longevity of the vinyl and all, I just don't like stickers on the outside so much.  The cleaner, appearance wise, the glass is on the outside the better.  Just me being picky. <G>

Peace, Wolf

Sorry, I don't release templates to anyone as a matter of practice. And I won't be customizing any decals. I am always open to suggestions, but in the case of the decals, I won't make anything that I can't produce in quantities with the expectation that people will buy them.

large decals you can either float with a soapy water mix, then squeegee it out, or you can roll up the decal and release it onto the surface gradually.

Sorry if I just missed this:

"...and 10" decals are $15 plus $2 shipping."

Is this for just one 10" decal or one for each side?

I agree with Andrew and Sam.  The water/soapy water way with squeegee thing is the best method. I have done this several times to my car personally, banner stickers and smaller stickers and it is the best method I've known.  First because it's easier to put on but also, since you have a little bit of soapy water between the glass and the decal, you can adjust the position slightly if needs be without worrying.  Then just squeegee the moisture away and with a microfibre towel or something, take care of the excess liquid and stuff.
