uhhhh i don't think you really understand how much cost is involved, Jeff... you could build a superbeast drag engine KA for that cost.

THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

arro is right...it would cost you a fortune...it's much easier and economical for you to buy fj engine from japan then from europe....

you sir are emblazoned with win.

VegasS12

I would say it's probably not that hard if you have the money lol

Lynium

Niiiice!

Maybe it would cheaper to have some one tear it down and mail parts??

I know people do that with handguns and crap... go on holidays to amsterdam, buy a gun, rip it apart, mail parts of it to a couple different adresses while they travel and site see etc, get home from vaccation, re-assemble. lol

Doubt it would be cheaper, but meh, just a thought.

Hey guys...

I got one question about fj20 gearbox, is it only mine so short or is that normal for fj20 gearboxes?
because when I am going 100 km/h in 5. gear (which is 62mp/h), engine is runing at 4000 RPM-s...and other gears are also very short...

and here are some news...
new Kayaba gas shocks are on car and low springs 40mm front and 30mm rear, so now it looks like this...

also I have put new dash board...

and some more photos of the engine...it is really amazing engine....

Well when I ride at 100km/h in 5th gear I have 3k rpm! FJ20 engine is really amazing I like that in 2nd gear it runs till 140km/h!

From what I know, the FS5W71C was mainly found in 2 different gear ratio...
The z31 and sr20det got a wider ratio with a longer over drive then all the rest, mk2 s-12, s-13 etc.  I have no info on the FJ powered car.

Also, the R200 was available in multiple ratio, 3.56 3.7 3.9 4.11
Since the engine and tranny were swaped (engine for sure, tranny could be the same) you can have any combination.  Since the mk2 ca18et tranny was also a type C transmission, it would bolt on fine on the FJ, might require a bellhousing swap.  And the Ca18 got the steep overdrive, 0.864, compared to the 0.733 of the z31

My guess is that the stock FJ20 uses the wider ratio transmission... longer 5th gear, and you have a CA18 transmission that has the closer ratio, shorter 5th gear

or if you are lucky, you have a modified 5 speed O/D tranny in a 5 speed non-O/D tranny.  They are selling kit to go that, but they are quite expensive and the labor to change all gear ratio is pretty intense.
