I've never heard of anyone using the VH, I'm using the vg33er [but it's literally a straight swap as far as fitment] Nate is using the VQ35de [with intense modification to the body] and ls12 is smashing an LS1 with heavy body mods. check out their threads, it may give you an idea what swapping a big motor into a small car entails.

granted, I don't know if the VH is too big, but it's a DOHC which means it will be wide like the VG30DE/DETT...and those have BARELY fit with like no room whatsoever to do...anything.

What happened to that guy anyway? He never posted the finished product.

And yeah just go to google and search "vh45de swap s13 or 240sx" and a few threads will pop up of guys that have done them in s13's which is going to be extremely similar to an s12. If I ever have the money for it I would love to do the swap in my s13 but the fact you have to cut your hood might be the deal breaker for me.

he pulled the motor and put it in a different chassis and if you have a turbo for the s12 you won't have to worry about hood clearance you can always make a cowl hood for the s13....
