While this isn't actually pertaining to the S12 chassis. I was wondering what people knew or thought about this motor? Its a 4.8l DOHC inline six that came in the Patrol. 240hp and almost 300lb-ft of torque at 4000 and 3200 rpm respectively. I'm just trying to find out more information on them, such as internal strength, cam specs, head flow, etc. I mean, 240hp and 300lb-ft from an inline 6 release in the early 2000's with a BOAT load of lowend torque in an S30 can't be bad. I was thinking that with a garret gt45 would be pretty nasty. Not to mention they came in a front engine rear drive layout, so short of custom mounts and the addition of more electronics, it wouldn't be all that crazy. If people can fit LSx's in them, why can't I do a big I6?. What do you guys think?
