So I'm not quite sure if it's too early to start documenting on my car. I figure it would be fun to just be able to keep track of everything that I'm doing, and then by the time it's done, I'll be able to look back at my progress. Not only will I be able to enjoy my car when it's super baller, but I'll have a reminder of how much hard work and learning it took to get where I'll be. I'm super excited.

Like I said in my welcome thread, I plan to throw a CA18DET into it. I have intentions of drifting it. I love how clean it is, although there are minor imperfections.

Mine is gonna be the red v6 pulsar!

My Work-in-progress
The Mods: Blaster SS coil, KA24 Throttle Body (60mm), custom intake piping, 86' Z31 MAF and ECU, 2.5" exhaust from downpipe, "test pipe" replacing cat, shortened shifter handle,  NGK sparks and wires, and dual electric radiator fans.

What I want: springs, shocks, and someday, turbo.

I'm very excited about turbo Delorians. :]

So, my car has a killswitch.

I'm pretty excited about that, most awesome security device ever. Will come in handy as my car becomes more and more baller, even though I plan on getting an alarm anyway. That won't be for a while though.

my car came with a push button start...but it was dangling by the ignition...I moved it to inside the cubby hole underneath where the stereo is supposed to be...now whenever I go to drive some one elses car I reach down there for the stupid non existent push button start.

I will try to come up with some turbo delorean stickers later when i get a chance! lol!

Aw way to take all the fun out of a Beemer. That's pretty fail, I'm not gonna lie.

This makes me think of drive-by-wire cars. THAT is depressing. I drove one, and then I had to drive an older Volvo, which made me realize how much cars actually respond. It was lame when I was stepping on the gas and there was a delay in movement.

I'm not gonna lie either. It is... ESPECIALLY on an E30.... HOWEVER! All I need is a single mass flywheel, and a manual driveshaft, and I have everything else to swap her over.
Do that, Throw in one of my LSD's (I haz a 2.93, a 3.73, and a 4.10), and have a rip or two...
She will be a BMW, not a wannabe soon enough

Edit: Twice actually... I have 2 of everything else

It was dangling under my dash, and I've since then tucked it away. But my car definitely won't start with it not in ON position. I'm pretty excited about that, most awesome security device ever. Will come in handy as my car becomes more and more baller, even though I plan on getting an alarm anyway. That won't be for a while though.

car looks good! on a side note its not a very wise idea to post pics of where the switch is located. (on a public forum) relocate it! that is the most common place ppl look for kill switches when stealing a car. just my two cents.

Welcome, glad to see the Lass's on the site.  Now put down the make-up and get sweaty...

Seriously though, your nails are just the right length to be useful, I find it handy to have some nails to slip washers into tight spots and such.  When I was active duty my coworkers found it odd but I could get those tough jobs done faster.

Peace, Wolf

i love the thought of pink wheels, but better on a notch(i got some going on mine)

heres a basis for my idea on it:
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Yeah, this is true. *facepalm* Well now I feel dumb.

So guess what?

1. I wish that I could go on the forums while I'm at work, but my phone's browser is retarded.
2. I have a story.

Yesterday, I was on my way to work, and my dash lights were on. Fuel, seatbelt, e brake, coolant, battery light...and my headlights seem dim. Alternator, I think.

Now I get to work, and I let my car sit. It's 4:30 in the morning and it's dark plus I need to be at work. My temp gauge doesn't climb any more than usual (about a 1/4 of the way) but I pop my hood, and all I hear is sizzling. Awesome. My car sits for three hours til breaktime and I go out there to put water into the radiator. I pop my hood, everything seems fine, and I dump the water into the radiator. Turns out it's full. So I start my car to let it suck up the water and right away I hear this awful noise. I look to where my fan is, only to see that it's snapped off, sitting on my belts and hitting them.

and before they did so, my hood opened fine. The release is hard as hell to pull, any ideas?

Much appreciated.
