Tedious?  This coming from a person who uses the word twice in a sentence?  I laughed repeatedly...

Phisherman09

oh hello.

for some strange reason i still have this hunk of junk.

amended story of why i havent updated this in 2+ years.

got married, had a kid, sold the 350z, bought a s13 for a family car. blah blah

as for the car, it threw a rocker arm who knows how long ago, wrecked the head and cams, so i lost motivation.
for some strange reason i got motivation once again..

started by giving my car head

got it running. never really ran right :S

had ungodly wiring issues from myself and previous owner(s).

so, i took on the task of replacing all the wiring with a 14 circuit harness meant for some bitchin camaro or some shit.

also installed some new gauges and other crap

washed it and such

just needs a new wastegate and it should be back in action

over two years later, its back on the road. (blew a coolant hose on the test drive. lol).

runs pretty good. just of wastegate spring pressure (5psi). its scoots, but still feels slow for some reason lol.

feels so good to be back in the s12 game.

I_heart_VVL

5psi on an S13SR? No wonder its slow.

This is reminding me a lot of my build lol. I've had quite a few of the same issues except over 2 years since mine been on the road.
Good job

oh hello.

I like how your intercooler *replaces* the radiator core support bracket and keeps the top of the core support and the hood latch held up... what's the size of the core?

THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

]Oh hi.

Long time no see.

Long story short, turbo blew juneish last year. Around the same time my daughter started developing eating problems, we spent from july to january this year fighting it, in and out of the childrena hospital, got behind on bills from missing work a bunch.
So, this car sat for almost a year, again.

Finally got caught up, back on track, and started fixing it again two weeks ago. Got a new turbo, new fluids. Fixed a bunch of dumb issues
Been daily driving it for about too weeks now.

Wow what a story. I definitely understand the family / life thing putting your project on hold. My daughter is almost 4 now.  It's hard trying to find time to work on the car.  I might get 30 minutes a day and then not even touch it for weeks at a time. Anyway I'm glad to see you got it on the road again.  Now you're my inspiration to get my car done!

Glad to see your back at it! You never did answer the my question about the intercooler tho....

Def want to know how you did that I want to do the same with the det and will the bumper still fit with modifications

8SixS12

I'd like to know as well looks like a cool idea.

Sideways , If you look at my build thread I am considering doing the same thing but with a smaller intercooler to allow airflow to the radiator.
