My 1984 S12 has 50th Anniversary emblems on it. I was wondering, aside from the emblems, what was special about these?

Wasn't that just a random edition thrown in by US nissan dealer with left over badge from the z31 AE (which is "the" real 50th anniversary edition)?

not leftover z31 AE badges, someone posted a post a while ago of legitimate part numbers for S12 50th AE badges.  It was an official option, it just wasn't special besides the badging/markings.

Yeah, there was a thread with an AE s12 in a warehouse in Japan. Iirc it had some archaic "sat nav" and leather interior... ooohh!!!

archaic direction teller is more like it. You programmed how far you had to go until the next turn, and kept repeating that procedure until your driving distance was done. Interesting idea, probably never got used.

Enjoy your breakfast!
Think of it like google maps.
Go this far then turn left
Go this far then go right
Go this far and stay straight.
It's pretty much what it was, except it would flash at you when you needed to turn Unlike paper, which doesn't

The 50th aniversary badge comemorated the nissan auto devision 50 year of manufacture,  in Australia, every nissan vehicle delivered to the out lets were all badged the same.( patrol, pulsar skyline, ur-vans s12- vanetts and all the others including the 4x4 and utilities 720 and the like) I worked for nissan from 1982- 1989 at the head dealership in Australia, Ira berk-Nissan (Importers ). There was no different modifications to any gazelle with or with out a badge ( they were all ca20 here ).  The only car off the showroom floor that was slightly tricked was the GTS skyline ( they were all sequenced No and plated on the glove compartment door starting with 001and so on ) I was lucky enough to be asked to test drive the first 7 that was 001-007 they were all white, the mods were-------------!
 I hope this helps.
