Hi, my name is Rodolfo and I've been wandering the forums and searching for ideas on which route to go. I have an offer waiting on a pretty good MK-II S12 and want to do an engine swap to get rid of the stock motor.
So the choices are pretty simple and im trying to stay under a 6K budget. The choices are, KA24DE-T, KA24DE-R(supercharged), SR20DET redtop, or an SR20DE with an SR20VE head conversion.
I love VVL and i currently have a 96 B14 with an SR20VE swap.
I've searched the forums and only found a handfull of turbo KA swaps and some SR20s. My power goal is to get at least 230 HP at the wheels.
any input is greatly apreciated! :)

Tedious?  This coming from a person who uses the word twice in a sentence?  I laughed repeatedly...

there all fun.

i have had about all the 4 cylinder options lol. sr is the funnest. IMO. A KA gets the job done cheap though.

however, i like N/A engines for some reason. my 20valve corolla is wack to drive, and only has like 150 hp lol. a sr20ve would be dope.

ka24det 4 price and sr20det 4 aftermarket parts or whatever comes up first on craigslist lol

theres a local guying making 860 + whp on a sr20vet in a s13.

you need to either run a standalone, or cut a big hole in the firewall too fit the distributor.

you can run s15 coilpacks, and run a CAS either on the back of the head, or on the crank pulley. the rest is straight foward. its quite a bit of work though.

honestly, a sr20det will suffice. just make ricer noises out the window.
