i guess i shoudnt have bought this specific swap. im lost here

heres a normal VVTI pinout

heres a pic of that ecu.. if im wrong with this stuff plz tell me

heres a non vvti pinout

heres a non vvti ECU (if im wrong still please correct)

heres a 2jz vti ecu

and heres my ecu again (ignore the plug on the far right, i think its for the auto trans)

notice a resemblence? my ecu says, 1jz on it, but looks exactly like a 2jz ecu, and plugs into my 1jz harness.
i have searched google and forums like a madman. and havent found shit.

any insight. please help me :(

so far ive figured out my motor is from a jzx110, a toyota verossa built from like 2001+ or something
ive check forums, im posing on forums, searched all over. checked AEM wiring diagrams, looked for factory service manuals

all i want is a ecu pinout!

If it looks like a horse, smell like a horse, tastes like a horse... It might just be a horse!

Use a DMM or continuity tester and probe some of the pins on that VVTI 1JZ pinout and see where they go on your harness... If most or all the sensors match up to the correct pins, then more than likely it'll be the same on the power connections and everything else you need to run the engine.

I had to do the same with my SR20DE, since NO ONE has a diagram or exact pinout for an S14 SR20DE.

Cross reference and match wire colors with wiring diagrams (For sensors, signal wires, everything). From there you'll figure out which one to use. Just as matt said use a DMM to test it out and get it going. Write colors down, What they go to, the number pin it is, and all will make sense. Could have it finished in a matter of a couple hours, if that.

Not difficult at all... If nothing is matching up, consider the thought that you have an incorrect wiring harness and ECU.

Heres something else for you to toy around with for figuring it out and matching the right one... not a full pinout, but something else to cross reference

really, the only difference between the two engines is displacement.

BoostedVG (in regards to people hating on the VG) - Me thinks they were not the mechanic they thought and blamed it all on the engine.

Colonol Gustard - youre one of the few people that represent the s12 chassis like a boss!

Theres a local guy here who runs a 1j s14, he didnt do the swap but i could possibly get some info from the guy who did if itll help any.

JZX-110 ECU info is almost non existent.

Fuck you then, I'll take my movies, box of chocolates, bottle of wine and chloroform somewhere else.
Adding an SSD to that is kinda like strapping a 3 inch stainless HKS exhaust on a geo metro.

I really don't know and I'm a bit too tired to search any deeper right now...

but from what I read, power is all located in one of the plugs, the rest is feedback/ground, or it is with the non vvti and vvti 4plugs... no reason it should be any different with the 5 plugs, except that sensors are probably not arranged in the same fashion, which leads to a different loom and different plugs... so I would guess it's the feed back, cyl firing on the same coil are grouped together

Plus the site is selling shift light and boost controller, which only take feedback, would explain why they pined out only 2 of the plugs and all the sensors are signal only...

Here is what I found....

it's a quote from toymod...

"If anyone needs, PM me for jzx100 vvti 1jz-ge, 1jz-gte, 2jz-ge diagrams, including '2000 series with etcs-i. They are of poor quality and not in English, except for wire colors and pin names. Both ecu and ect diagrams available.

p/s also have diagrams for the engines listed above, but with chassis listed as JZX110. They are quite different and in better quality.

Looking for the 5VZ-FE (landcruiser 90) diagram.
Also looking for ect wiring diagram for '2000 1jz-ge with etcs-i in good quality. "

Here is the link, I'm not registered so I can't contact the guy "Georges" but I really think you should
http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?809-wiring-diagrams-and-pin-outs-for-people-who-need-them-so-help-them-and-add-more/page10

I just wish I was close enough to go swear about this under the damn hood of your car, bottle of beer in my hand... but good luck!
