Well you probably won't listen but here goes...
They weren't knocking you down they were tyring to wake your ass up... The s12 is not a very.popular car... Its a niche car... So most are like "oh cool car I haven't seen one in years" but probably wouldn't buy one... Then you have the fact that s13s, which are lightyears more capable out of the box for drifting are being marketed for much less with similar sr20 or even RB, VG,VQ, VH45,2jz... So youve over priced the market with a less popular car... That and keep in mind that any project that you get, you will not get your money back... hopefully some but almost never all of it

Tbh if I had a reasonable offer, id make it... It is a nice car. You are right in saying its worth someone will pay but its just opinion that your price is over the market value and very few might pay that

At the same point you guys shouldn't hassle him... Hes got a set price in his mind and our heckling isnt gunna help. Ether make a real offer or gtfo. He'll ether accept, decline and keep it or lower the price or hell find some one with more money than sense...

With that I bid you good day, and good luck with your sale...

Two pages of this people arguing over a price? It is fine to offer suggestions as to the price if one feels it is grossly inappropriate; however, it needs to be in a constructive and fair manner. This by far did not get off to either of those. I agree with the starter, this thread could use some cleaning for it is far too much crap talking.

I will say though that yes, building a proper car as it seems to be described is hard without spending a decent amount of money. That is something most people are not willing to do. I personally wouldnt spend 7k for the car at hand. Very possibly 4 or 5k yes considering the engine mainly and the work done to it if is what I expect. Thing is, for an S12, few break even and fewer make money off them as a general rule. Hell, I put my car up on Craigs for the hell of it at my roommate's request and the highest I got an offer for was 8k.

That is my opinion but worth bringing to the mods'/admins' attention.

No need to. My attention has been brought because I saw this coming.

I've cleaned up what I'm going to clean up.  What's left is no filth. But you will never, ever, ever get me, or any of the other mods to clean up where people question your price and give you feedback in a civil manner.

Civil = No vulgar "Name calling"

Everyone else. Keep it clean. Keep it civil. That's all I ask. Anything other than that and I will be handing out some time out. Because everyone was provoked up until this point, It's either nobody gets a warning, or everyone gets a warning. THIS time it will slide. But next time, it will be back with a vengeance. Don't let a next time happen.

And no, My mom did not slap me for "If you don't have anything nice" blah blah blah. My parents taught me how to prove a point, before it became necessary.

Also
Why do you continue to fill my sell thread with negativity there is already plenty enough of it here no one asked for your opinion

Yes you did. When you put this post up, you 100% did.
Straight from the rules.

A word to the wise: selling things on a forum means you are selling things to the scrutiny of the users, some of who are fair, and some who may not be, or who may not reasonably understand your reasons for pricing and conditions. The comments users make in for sale threads, so long as they are CIVIL, are valid, and the seller must be prepared for the possibility that someone's comments may affect the sale of their items as desired. I feel this more than adequately covers the issue, as well as sets the record straight about what is tolerated, what is not, and what the realistic expectations are for selling items on this forum (or pretty much any forum for that matter).

And, I'm going to say this publicly. Maxpow knows how to keep me at bay, while still laughing with him. Take lessons y'all

My advice:  Part it out if you want what you put into it back again.  You will *never* sell it for $7K in a S12 body.  And we know you beat on it while drifting it, so how reliable can it be?  Not $7K reliable.  And a welded diff?  Ugh.

It would be hard to sell in an S13 or 14 body as is, and especially in this one because that S12 body looks all beat to hell.

You have low-resolution photos of it on the track, and showcasing the ridiculous S13 knuckles, and a video of you skidding around a parking lot, which culminates in you spinning the vehicle out.

This, and the welded diff, suggest it is beat to hell. You have no interior shots, or anything bigger than Craigslist's default resolution photos.

In any case, if I can't get the amount of money I want out of my car's potential sale, I'm going to part her. I would suggest you do the same if you want to get near the amount of money you put in, back out.

Alternatively, lower your price to something more reasonable, so you don't drive people off. It's a friendly suggestion that doesn't mean to imply anything about your level of intelligence. People see "7 grand S12" and scoff. Work your way down a bit. Sacrifice some pride, and profit, so that maybe you can make any at all ;)
Nah, quoted for future use because not only is it lame and old, but it's a direct link to Schizo posting up homoerotic menswear fanfiction.

I love it when people come out with that nugget "I don't need to sell it" to back up their price.

Want me to scoff even harder?  You just made it happen.

I tried to be nice and give you advice to follow your post about what you put into it, you turned it around.  Good luck selling with that 'tude bro.
