I'm thinking...if something ever goes wrong with ny newly rebuilt motor I will to a total swap. I have a 91 Taurus sho. Would the swap be practical. Or wishful thinking?

silverton

How deep are your pockets? I think it would be a kickass swap. Only thing wrong with those shos, i think, is the drive train configuration.

BoostedVG (in regards to people hating on the VG) - Me thinks they were not the mechanic they thought and blamed it all on the engine.

Colonol Gustard - youre one of the few people that represent the s12 chassis like a boss!

The sho is fwd right? I would think it would be a pain in the ass because as silverton stated the drive train config is weird..

d_k_jose_s12

sell the sho and get an rb

sideways_s12

Iono about going that far sho after market parts and maintenance parts are more readily available more so than the rb...

SHO engine is a poor idea, just as bad as any other FWD engine into an S12 idea. And RB is a bitch, so much customization. Just get an SR20DET and fall in love with the ease of installation and the huge aftermarket. Besides, the car will be WAY better balanced.

THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.

Pfft, 1JZ.... 1.5JZ...  I can't remember if it's the 1 block and 2 head, or 2 block and 1 head, but they make a better motor!

Yes! 2JZ block with the better flowing(and optional VVTi)  head from the 1JZ would be glorious!
