Ca18DET wont idle and wont rev
« on: 07:05:33 PM / 09-Jun-12 »
It seems to rev up to 1500 to 2000 rpm then it starts to act like it is hitting a limiter. The ECU was giving a code for the MAF, but it now gives nothing but code 55 (all clear)... Anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this?

Fuck you then, I'll take my movies, box of chocolates, bottle of wine and chloroform somewhere else.
Adding an SSD to that is kinda like strapping a 3 inch stainless HKS exhaust on a geo metro.

dont trust the codes too much. its very early self diagnostic technology. use the ca18det fsm and function test the MAF per the preocedure in the troubleshooting section.

ur gonna wnat to start looking for another MAF

Well I made the assumption based on the symptoms he stated and it was the exact thing thing mine was doing when I swpped to the walbro... But I see your point....

I think it's the battery.  I had that same problem with my ca18det when my battery was a super shitty one.  Once I replaced it with a new one it never did it again.

Battery is fine, New and relocated. everything works just fine outside the fact it wont rev
