True, it's not as bad as it could be, but when your working on a waterjet with 1800 gallons of 140 degree water in your own little corner of the shop, it's not much fun.
It's like... The amazon.

I did the end of an aluminum extrusion press, with temperatures around 130 degrees (They paid the osha fines rather than fix them), with a little 6 inch fan. Whatever humidity it was outside is what it was inside. So it could get to 150 with 98% humidity rather easily. About 140 is where they would start saying GTFO.

I worked at a metal shop cutting scrap with a torch outside, pile of plate about 7ft tall and 12ft round.

It's been unusually hot north of us, and usually hot around here.

You Wisconsonians, did you hear about the buckled highway?
Nah, quoted for future use because not only is it lame and old, but it's a direct link to Schizo posting up homoerotic menswear fanfiction.

Lol, On the topic of heat.  I just went out and laid in the sun for about an hour and a half.  So nice to enjoy the weather rather than lament it.

I just skimmed your sentence and had to re read it lol.... at first i read it as "I just went out and got laid in the sun for a hour and a half" LOL
I keep my car cleaner then my room
Fuck you then, I'll take my movies, box of chocolates, bottle of wine and chloroform somewhere else.
Adding an SSD to that is kinda like strapping a 3 inch stainless HKS exhaust on a geo metro.

Hell I would have drove right past his dumb ass too.  Prolly texting and not looking at those huge orange diamonds either side of the road, with warning notices on them...  No pity for the stupid.

There was another video of the SUV?!?  Shit, the only one I saw was grainy and ended mid flight.   HA HA HA

I know in Texas that's illegal. Failure to render aid, I believe, is the statute.

Fuck if he was fucking off, that doesn't matter. What matters is he might be hurt after taking a spill like that. Have some humanity, man.

Then again, I know when I wrecked the RX7, no one stopped to see if I was alright, not even the 4Runner I almost ran into.

Yeah I know, I would actually have to stopped since I have several buddies that are EMT's.  However, I would sure want to know why the person did not try to stop sooner, it is clear that they did not brake till about fifty feet prior to lift-off.  Wonder what their cell bill would reveal.

If I was that person I would have stood it on the front bumper.  Actually no, I would have seen the warning signs and had begun to slow way before it was too late then I would have only needed moderate to heavy braking to stop BEFORE the up-lifted slab.  At the very least, I would have driven off the road into that big open median.  Maybe take out a warning sign, but that would be far better than a aerial view of the horizon.

Call me old school but I do not text/talk, fuck around, while driving. I would be willing to lay odds this person was not giving the road 100% and to that I say enjoy explaining this to the insurance people.  The insurance folks surely will use the video to their advantage.  You can clearly see they did not start braking till maybe fifty feet before lift-off.

Humanity is one thing, I am humane.  That said, I do not condone Stupidity.  This person was not maintaining control of their vehicle.  Render aid to save life, then extract their head from their rectum and reestablish proper orientation.

Peace, Wolf

I dunno, those signs say *something* but I know when I see an orange sign, I tend to wave it off as "Road Work Next 5 Miles" what with all the construction here. I don't know how visible the buckle is in those conditions, but I don't really care. Point is, the highway buckled, some idiot drove over the buckle, and some asshole didn't stop to help him.

I heard it was an elderly couple....?
I too would not have thought about those signs, would just figure on it being road construction.
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong.

Well since my SE does not have all that much suspension travel, and I tend to take care of my wheels (vehicle), I take a word like "Bump" very seriously.  "Construction Ahead..."  Same deal, I become hyper vigilant of road conditions.  Those were huge Bump signs both sides of the tarmac,  The (insert state DOT here) should have set those signs farther ahead of the hazard, if I was the one in charge I would have had a series of signs to help emphasize the severity of the hazard.  But that is just me.

You live in "shitty road land" aka DFW.  You can prolly relate some great stories of the "Bump Stop Cha Cha".  LOL

Any DFW driver would have kept going at freeway speed around the bump. So much diverted construction here we're used to taking the diverted lane. I don't think many of us are averse to using the median. I know I'm not. /Jeep
