Stumped on front s13 conversion.
« on: 11:58:50 PM / 01-Apr-15 »
So far I have the s13 LCAs, Front Megan Racing coilovers, s13 knuckle, hub, spindle, a-1 racing outer tie rod/aww s12 inner, and the isis tension arms all hooked up. I'm really close, but I ran into an issue with the sway bar. I have the end links bolted to the lca but the s12 sway bar brackets won't bolt up. Am I supposed to use the s14 brackets and bushings? Please help asap trying to get this
this car done! Pretty much I think all I have left is rear suspension and brakes.

with the conversion you don't need the front sway bar, but hmm what tension arm brackets are you using? sounds like you might need to change out to the s14 tension rod brackets and get the s14 sway bar.

I do have the s14 tension rod brackets hooked up and ovaled out like all the write ups say. I am probably going to order the s14 energy suspension sway bar bushing kit. it comes with BrBrackets. Basically I have the s12 sway bar brackets but they aren't matching up to the s14 tension rod bracket. But so you're saying I don't even need the sway bar at all?

I heard no mainly because your s13 coilover conversion is or should be tight enough, but I heard the s14 bolts up with the rest.

By this I meant S14 sway bar brackets.  They aren't perfect for the application, but they do the job just fine.

thats exactly correct. You gotta use the s14 sway bar brackets if you wanna run a sway bar. maybe s13 ones work, idk

iirc S13 sway bar brackets work as well. Been a few years since I did it and I don't have a sway bar now

Well so I have the sway bar issue fixed. Now another issue. Is the adjustimg perch for the rear spring suppose to be on the top or the bottom? I have it on the bottom currently, and I can't seem to get the bottom locking perch loose. I have the magen racing coilovers(S12 rear/s13 front) thank you!

Perch goes on the bottom. If you're talking about tge locking collars being stuck, first try tge little spanner wrenches that should have come with them if theyre missing or not working then just go at them with a screwdriver and hammer. Remember righty-tighty lefty-loosey
