club wide north america CS12 members meet
« on: 08:13:59 PM / 18-Feb-13 »
So me and s12rich are pretty dead fuckin set on trying to have a massive club wide meet this year. I'm in Illinois and him in Connecticut but were both willing to drive just about anywhere to do this.
I know that this is about the time that everyone starts trying to setup there local/regional meets, so now is the perfect time.to start trying to plan something of this scale.

So who would actually be willing to atleast show up with or with out there s12m how far is everyone willing to drive? After we get enough people going for it then we'll figure where to have it.
With something like this ill only be limited by the condition of my engine.
SO GUYS..WHOS UP FOR IT?

Logical place would be Texas. But I know that most of us couldn't afford the trip for a few reasons..... gas prices for one thing, and anyone lowered on IRS will destroy their tires halfway or sooner on the trip. I know, because that happened to Sterling when he moved from Illinois to here in southern Cali, he blew out his tires on the front and the back and they were new when he left Illinois. He was in the middle of the desert in AZ at the time, and had to throw on the spare... and barely got to an offramp with a chain tire shop... he blew out the second tire and had to hand carry the wheel a few blocks. Got there ten minutes after they closed but my smooth talking got them to wait for him. IRS negative camber is a bad thing for long drives. That, and most of these cars are just begging to have some other sort of mechanical failure lol.

I know, I know... I sound like I'm shooting the idea down. I'm sorry. Just not sure if it's feasible. Ever.

Hella flush and all associates should be gunned down for brainwashing people into thinking a 225 and lots of camber is proper wheel fitment. THAT IS EASY, anyone can camber a skinny as tire till it dosnt rub. Now fitting an 11 with a 315 on stock fender with reasonable camber, that is fitment. And looks, and performs better than both.
i dont own a s12 at the moment but trying to acquire one to get rid of my s13 hatch

Worth a try tho is it not man? How awesome would it be to even.just have like 30 of us in one place for a photo shoot or we could rent out a park type place and have a crazy cook out type thing.

Let's see...

1. Raise up the rear suspension to square out the camber to zero.
2. Buy myself an Auto Club membership.
3. Bring an extra supply of belts, oil, gasket maker, and a full toolbox.
4. Have my friend drive my truck behind me in case of needz tow.

Yep I think it's a good idea :P

So us WA guys can get together and rent a transport truck for our S12's, and I can load the humans into my wife's Suburban for the trip to TX. Then we can all stay at Schizo's and have his folks cook for us - how's that for a great plan.
Post Merge
To be fair, we could meet at the geographic center of the U.S. - that would be Lebanon, Kansas

Ok guys look its fucking awesome that your all down to do this but wen arro said Texas it was just a suggestion lol There has been NO descision on a definite location or time.

I would like to be conciderate to all members so something more centralised like Dave's Kansas suggestion in my mind makes more sense.
And also if you WA guys actually showed up with a transport full of s12's I think most of us would shit a brick hah seeing as alot of us have only seen the car we own none others.

Where ever it is is gotta be BIG so we can get as many members as possible in one location. And I know alot of memebers would be almost a day or two drive to wherever we do have it, to make it worth it I wouldn't mind making a weekend out of it that way its justified going so far.

Wherever we do decide to have it I'm pretty sure we'll get some whack ass looks lol like say we all roll to a Denny's for some tasty pancakes and before the town knows it there's like 40 hatches and coupes rolling around the town being all loud and shit hahah that'd be an epic sight actually lmao
