This update is just going to be text so deal with it I guess. My MAF went out in my parents driveway on Sunday, while incredibly lucky, I still had to ring AAA to get a tow home. Today I managed to find an 87 (non-compatible with OEM S12 o2 sensors) MAF and ECU for a whopping $56. Not bad, right. It still took a 10% correction on the SAFC II just to idle, but it feels sharper, and has no hesitation and revs up really quick now.

I busted out my back glass a while back because I am an idiot,

so I have started to ditch the idea of a comfy full interior DD in favor of the stripped out lightweight drift monster I want it to be.

Here is the start of the stripping (yes the corner windows and even door glass came out).

So all that nonsense is taken out, and simplified! Still want to delete all the unused wires but that is a long way off. Also, I will be making templates for new polycarbonate windows and selling everything else because it takes up too much room in the garage.

Basically all I have been doing is cleaning it up and fixing little things that bug me, as well as install a coolant temp gauge.

Removed clutch fan and put a pusher fan on, solidly mounted the MAF, and made a coolant overflow from this neat bottle I found (stole) from work.

Some of this.

This little guy just came in the mail today, and it's a total lifesaver since the stock location is stupid to get to.

Plans for now (in order):
- Buy R32 radiator, relocate oil filter, and add oil cooler
- More angle
- Go turbo
- Badass suspension

I have done nothing to it except put some fans on it from an Impala, which actually keep it very cold while running, but now it starts to act up over 190 degrees. I also picked up a VG33 block for a stupid deal so that's kind of the plan and build it for turbo while it is out of the car.

The cam gear broke off the left head and I picked it up for $100 with the intake manifold!

Still haven't done much in the way of steering angle, I've just been building my technique. I also did my first tandem runs but was too afraid to get close and I was way faster than the guy I was following so it was hard to drift on the brakes like that.

So I caught wind of a S12 in a local pick-n-pull and I went down and grabbed the hatch! Somebody literally ripped the wing off for some reason but aside from that it has good glass in it so I'm happy with it! now that means I can start putting the rest back in!

^post whore :P

You've came a long way with that car! Keep the good work. We need more S12s that are being abused on track!

So I don't know why but I thought it was a good idea to buy some S14 adjustable LCAs and throw them on, and this was the result:

Yikes I know so I spun them all the way in and they look way better now:

So basically I still need camber plates and my knuckles must be welded in order for me to even be able to drive this thing. Who knows how it's going to handle.

Add some Z32 wheels in the back and what do you know, it looks pretty neat.

So with -7 degrees of camber up front, it actually did awesome considering all we did was make sure it would drive, and then aligned it at work. Every time I thought it was going to spin I just had more angle to give it. I don't even know how I was drifting this thing before the angle mods.

Knuckles welded up, didn't know if they were even going to work because I always second-guess myself.

Survied the drive all the way there to find out not only did it work, but way better than I could even imagine!

I got several hours of drifting in until I ran out of tires!

Even did a few tandem runs!

So pretty much after that last drift event I went street sliding one time and drove straight into the shop to rip the engine out and start my 3.3 turbo build (omg wat).

We stripped it in like an hour and decided that it was the original 215k mi engine and it maybe had another 10k mi of shredding left.

The 3.3 on the other hand basically had all new bearings in it, but I think it had close to the same mileage...

Once it stops raining I can prep and paint this bay.

Pretty much my goal is between 300-400 whp which would be plenty considering these things make like 160/170 (new) at the crank and I was able to do some 3rd gear stuff with just that lol. I have no idea when it will be done though.

Well with camber plates I should be able to bring them out to like -5 degrees or so which is still a lot but better than -7 degrees. :x

Okay so the progress has been quite slow because my job sucks but here is what has happened over the last month:

I cleaned the bay

I painted the bay

Then I put some heat tape on the firewall just cuz. I'm waiting on new master cylinders so I can bolt everything back up. And yes there is overspray on the crossmember and yes that will be fixed.
