sr turbo with ca maf?
« on: 07:46:38 PM / 19-May-13 »
I have the sr20 t25 on my cadet and It hits boost cut because it maxes out the maf. can I plug in an sr20det maf and everything be ok so I can raise the boost to 12psi or do I have to get a retune and ghetto safc? I am running like 7psi on my sr t25 and anymore than that it cuts out. I need more power so can anyone help?

Check nicoclub.com they have a ca section that will answer all your questions. They also have part out threads so you may be able to find a maf there. As far as the sr maf goes im not sure if its bolt on or not...

SR maf not gonna swap straight on. Has to be rewired and you need either a tune or a piggyback to tell the ecu what maf it has. If ur gonna do all that you may as well get a z32 maf. way bigger and has the best voltage resolution of all the nissan mafs. But i dont think its a bad maf. Listen to Jason, you've got an underlying issue. Boost cut at 7 psi is silly.

what else could be wrong? everything works fine no drivability issues or cut outs or stalls. only when I get above 7psi it runs like a top when i'm at 7psi or lower. I wonder if I can get maf cleaner and spray my maf

like Jason said check out Nico. the level of dohc CA knowledge over there is massive. I would start by getting a wideband and confirming ur AFRs
