Hey guys, i get a weird issue when boosting in 4th or 3rd gear

im running 14psi on the T2 with an intercooler

when im in 3rd or 4th gear and i hit boost UNDER 4000 Rpm the clutch seems to slip until it hits 4000 and basically holds there until the speed catches up....

if i am ABOVE 4000 rpm it wont slip... kinda weird.

also the 5th gear clutch dump brakes on test is ok, it dies right away.

clutch feels good aswell and its not tire spin, 225/50 16s dont spin that easy at this power level.

any insight would be awesome!

So do you here the engine RPMS increasing while no change in speed?

i see them on the tach, i know what a slipping clutch feels/looks/sounds like but this is a weird problem haha

well i had a going out clutch and at freeway speeds in fifth i could hit the gas and spin the clutch yet at lower engine speeds and gears it was fine i ended up changing the clutch out and it fixed the problem no more slippage.  i used a 18det stage 1 or maybe stage 2 and it fit perfect. also while the clutch was out i had my flywheel lightened and resurfaced and then balanced with the new clutch. hope this helps  oh and my car has over 200k miles on a stock clutch most likely it all looked stock

ok thats what i figured. the added boost is slipping the clutch as it makes alot more power at high rpm.

thanks!
