87 200sx CA20E A/T (for now MWHAHAHA)

I picked up my 89 240sx project and this 87 200sx that I'll be swapping a KA into and using as a daily to save some wear on my truck. It has a Z31 turbo suspension/wheels/hubs swap, with upgraded KYB struts and Eibach springs (too bad the guy I bought it from didn't save the 85 turbo diff >.<). Really clean on the inside except the door panel vinyl at the top is pretty much gone. Engine bay and wheelwells are covered with spiders and webs because it's been sitting since 2005, and hopefully there's no rats having lunch on the wiring... A lot of spare parts came with the cars so I have to dig through them all and I'll put up possibly multiple FS threads lol. More pics to come!





M/T C trans and driveshaft (maybe the only ones left in east TX)

Update: I've been held up because it took me so long to sell the damn S13. Finally, got around to cleaning out the interior. After braving/slaughtering spiders and being caught off-guard by a retro porn stash under the back carpet, this is the semi-finished product.

Picked up a 96 KA24DE w/ everything I need except the trans/bellhousing, so there will be more frequent updates to this project. CA20E will come out soon, if anyone needs parts off of it, there may be a few things worth your while. Interior and body parts are staying lol.

Wow, it's been a while. Either way, after months of finding broken things and 2 headgaskets later IT'S ALIVE!!!! Now, I'm on to repairing/replacing worn out, old parts. Going to start with brakes since it's nice to be able to stop! Mostly trying to stay cheap/reliable for now.

The CA20 ate caca....crank pulley warped out in the key way and I decided it wasn't worth saving. I'm running an S14 KA OBD2 setup with an S13 head/cams and a very slimmed down wiring harness.

Ideally, I would've loved to find a good CA18DET around and drop that in, but for $100 for a 'running' KA was too hard to pass up. My only issue with it right now (besides the blown RF strut,LR shock, R inner tie rod knocking and the normal multifunction switch issues) is that the gearing is ridiculously shorter than what I was planning for.

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow.

update: Multifunction switch wasn't repairable, but I found a 1988 Sentra in a junkyard near me. Multifunction switch is a direct swap, besides not having the ability to control the illumination circuit and headlight motors. Wired in a separate switch for illumination signal and it works. Now to figure out WTF is going on with my dash lights.

I appreciate that. The multifunction switch for the B12 Sentra is MUCH cheaper than the one for the S12. I'm not sure if the Z31 switch has the same pins as well as late 80s-early 90s Maximas, which has already been done.

Still got it and it's still running great. Rear caliper decided to start leaking and my RHS steering rack bushing is falling apart, so those are on the list. Picked up a nice set of Crown Vic 16x7 +5 wheels and now that Christmas is over, I'm building my list back up. Stay tuned.

If you use Chrome, install the extension 'Photobucket Embedded Image Fix' and it should work just fine. I haven't figured out how to locally host pics yet, so I'm a little inept.

Haven't gotten to the rack bushing yet, since my RF strut decided to start giving me shit and the caliper is on it's way out. Long story short, I figured out the previous owner swapped the strut tubes, hubs, brakes, and LCAs from his 86 Z31 turbo into the front of the 12 so I'm just jumping into an S13 conversion instead of replacing stuff that isn't supposed to be on the car.

Stay tuned. After the worst shopping day of the year, I'll be rounding up some S13 Ksport coilovers and knuckles to go with the S14 SE brakes I picked up. Just need to find some S13 5 lug hubs, which people think are worth just short of platinum around Philly.

Update: I've acquired S14 SE calipers w/ lines and rotors, S14 tension rod brackets, S13 tension rods and 5 lug hubs for my conversion. I have a set of S13 coilovers and knuckles, just waiting for the seller to get his new set of coils in and they will be mine. So, stay tuned!

Update: Got a pair of used S13 K-sport coils, S14 TR brackets and S13 knuckles are en route. Gonna start cleaning and painting stuff and hopefully get the conversion done over spring break. I'll put up some progress pics when I start actually seeing some progress lol.
