« on: 10:31:41 PM / 10-Aug-14 »
down to the last couple of things on my swap, went to hook up my speed-o cable to the trans, my ka trans has a elec speed-o sender/driver whatever..

since all my spare motors, trans got stolen a few years ago i cant try an swap the drive/gear/output from the oe trans. is that what needs to be done? or there another way?. can i use the 240sx output and wire it, into where the cable is converted on the firewall..

84 srs ca20e car., looked threw the ka swap threads, the s13 trans thread.. no talks of the speed-o and what not.......

Yeah, that is what needs to be done, you had it right.  You need to unbolt the electronic sender that is plugged into the KA trans,  throw it in the bin,  and you need to install a mechanical unit from any S12 manual transmission,  it will plug right in and the securing tab will hold it in perfectly,   then the speedo cable will screw on to that.  I've done this twice now.

yep. you can find it on most any rwd nissan from the 80s. possibly 70s as well if the B trans sender works in the c trans.

so this is the only thing i could find..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/87-93-Nissan-Truck-Brand-New-OEM-JDM-NISMO-Racing-Speedo-Pinion-88-89-90-91-92-/331287463616?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d224586c0&vxp=mtr

which one would be the closes to the s12 running 16in wheels(245/50s), from what iv found the stock 200sx is 17 tooth.. so i guess i should just get the 19 tooth and hope it close?

I would just stick with stock but experimenting can be fun

The S13 speed sensor can be wired up to the S12 one no problemo if it's a digidash. I did it on mine for a brief bit before converting to analog.
That's if it's a digidash though.

It was many moons ago, but yeah. I do think that is correct. The dash signal was a 12v output and the sensor was just a wave generating ground. HOWEVER! I cannot say this with 100% certainty. I'm miles away from the FSM
