STUMPED!!!!! NEED HELP
« on: 07:14:32 PM / 31-Mar-15 »
 :glarestraight: :glarestraight:

 go to crank the car,
 it cranks but doesnt fire,
do this a couple times still nothing,
wait a minute or two try again,
randomly starts up and runs fine,
no codes thrown either i just took apart the footwell area to get to the ecu

now if i let the fuel pump prime all the way until i hear it shut off on a cold start it will either run fine no misfires nothing, or die out and then symptoms above occur.

i am completely stumped so i gary(wondering), he said maybe CAS.... any other thoughts? any help would be much appreciated.

how long does it take for the pump to prime? Sounds like a fuel problem to me.

I hate troubleshooting stuff like this, this is why I went PWR-2, MSD Blaster 2 coil, next is MSD 6L-2 Box.

There is soo much that can be causing it,

Could be the ICM, ECU, Injectors, CAS, whole Dizzy unit, Ignitor uses PWR-0 I believe.  Could be timing, IACV, vaccum leak.
When I had my no fire issue it was the CAS the whole damn time, as it "blew" up inside the dizzy. I had 2 faulty ones from Vatozone from then. But now working just fine.
Not saying it is yours though, no code was thrown when the CAS was causing problems.

I would start with the cheapest, and move up from there including the CAS. ICM save for one of the last item to change as a replacement unity might be hard to come by and I don't recall them going bad often.
http://club-s12.org/retro4/index.php?topic=36001.0 is a good write up, I can see if I can get a pwr-2 at the junk yard with the pig tail this weekend.

Blaster coil 2 I forgot which one to use, check my build thread I think I have it there maybe.

Replace the fuel filter as well, cheap insurance if it's been awhile.
