So I've been busy trying to get the car ready for the drift event on the 22nd @ thunder hill. It's a long shot cause I have so much work to do. There's a lot to do on the car still. The car dolly isn't ready and I just bought a truck on Friday that needs a few things. Mainly a steering gear box and receiver hitch. I only have 4 days off from now until the 22nd. So it's crunch time. I have about 2 hours after work to work on it, but that depends on how I feel.

Pics will be up soon, waiting on photobucket to upload. Damn mobile app!

Here's the truck I bought.

87 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 350. Paid 850 for it. I think I got a pretty good truck for the price.

I built a 3in exhaust with a magnaflow muffler with blast pipes.

Lol I did a similar exhaust tip on my green S12. Sweet build.
1984 200SX. 1987 200SX.

Spoolinups13

Sick build man, where did you get the parts for that custom tension rod setup?

Johnny_boi

I used the stock s13 and cut it. The parts are all from summit racing. The parts are, rod ends, chassis tube ends, linkage adjusters and .120 wall DOM tubing.

Update: so I got my tension rod brackets and finally test drove the car around the block. So I'm super pumped about it. There's a auto cross coming up this weekend. So I'll use that as a test n tune for the car. Use that to work out the bugs and see if it can handle the some abuse. There's a upcoming drift event @ Stockton 99 on the 27th hopefully I can make that.

I sold my car dolly to Waylon so I could buy a trailer. I pick up the trailer for $300 that was in bad shape that needed lots work but should be done Friday or Saturday at the latest. It need to be register by sat to make the last day of auto cross on Sunday.

Waylon's new dolly I sold

My "new" trailer.

Some of the crappy welds

I had to rebuild a shit ton of the trailer. Which turned out to be a good thing in the end cuz this thing was very unsafe. I put a new deck on it. Stained & waterproofed it. I'm very proud of how well it came out as a whole. It has 16ft of deck length and 75ins wide. more then enough deck space.

Here's the car on the trailer ready to go to auto x for some test n tune action and the results were poor as expected. It had no sort of an alinement what so ever, the car was all over the place, it would oversteer at times and then under steer like crazy. So a alinement was needed badly. So got that done, and boy was it worse than I thought. Everything was so off the alinement machine could pick up the readings at first lol he had to adjust it first to even get a reading. But it's on point now for the boost drift series on the 27th in Stockton.

time for an update:

so I made it to the boost series drift event on April 27th in Stockton. I had a blast!!! they did no cage tandems with 3 cars! it was my first time really doing tandem.

I got there early and setup.

me sportin the silhouette auto t shirt and my crew chief bitchin betti.

a video I made. editing isn't my thing, but I think it came out good. tell me what you think.

The car did good, the "high power" ka24de lol really highlighted the weak points in the rear solid axle 4 links. I had horrible wheel hop in the rear under heavy acceleration. so I believe that the rubber bushing were blown. so after returning from the event, I decied to replace the rubber 4 links with 4 links with heim joints.

come to find out there are different rotors for the s110 rear axle and the ones I got were the wrong ones.

so since the last event ive been trying to setup my wheel game and get rid of the steel oem wheels ive been sliding on.

picked up some 14x7 supra celica wheels for $40

also I picked these bad boys up. some eagle alloys. 15x8 -38 offset. I cant find any others like it online, so I don't know what model they are. so if anyone knows anything about them let me know. I picked them up for $200 with some nice federal 535's on them and make good burners.

That live axle doh. Man sometimes I envy the solid straight axle guys.

Even with all my bushings replaced with polly bushings in the rear I still have tons on negative camber.

IggyEGuana

damn those wheels fit so perfect on the sra

with those heims you can setup your squat how you want. more spin now and less spin later when you add power/grip

Iggy yeah they do! I drove 6hrs round trip to get them! So worth it.... I'm going to get the car alined again after this next event on the 24th. Money's tight right now lol. So that's going to have to wait for now. I just set the rear to stock for now using the stock links.
