dash idea
« on: 07:56:53 PM / 10-May-15 »
I work at a firestone shop and these tire stickers get tossed all the time, so I figured why not get creative with them? Plus the dash is kinda ripped so you can see all that nasty old foam in there and stuff so I wanted to cover it up. Plan in on doing the whole dash then clear vinyl wrap over the top. What do you guys think?

Sorry, doesn't appeal to me - but it's not my car so go for it if you like it.

Appreciate the input. Like I said it's just an idea. Have you customized your dash at all?

That's fucken dumb.
Nah, quoted for future use because not only is it lame and old, but it's a direct link to Schizo posting up homoerotic menswear fanfiction.

Leave it to Schizo to be subtle in voicing his opinion. Didn't your folks ever tell you "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?

My folks were deaf, so they didn't tell me much about saying things.

I would shoot for something less busy. Why not use a ghosted graphic? Make it 3 or 4 darker shades of whatever color you like. Just fill the dash cracks up and then layer over the top of that. Your idea as a whole is pretty cool. I think it would get overwhelming really quick if you go with contrasting colors.

I like your style.

I can't afford that much shipping, though. TIME FOR VINYL.

There's also the factory nissan dash cover in which they do an excellent job in covering all the cracks.  By the way, I have three of them as well.

No store, just a condo stuffed with S12 parts.  I'm all about the restoration of these cars so I need to have the best parts available to choose from.  I'm at Ecology at least once a month.  There are three in San Diego.  As some of you know, I'm on project number 3.  Should be done by early next year.

Hmm, I might take you up on one of the those dashes or covers, price?

Also, I'm trashing this idea. All the adhesive from the stickers is starting to melt off while the car is in the sun lol
